Tanguy Ndombele

He shat us into 4 CL qualifications in a row with one of the smaller budgets in the league. Let’s see how many our current manager shats us into with a much bigger budget.
I didn't say he wasn't good, just that he'd stopped being so.

Whether it was some kind of breakdown or he just folded under pressure, he fudged up all the good he'd done.

Are you confident in the new manager? At what point would you decide it’s not good enough and want him replaced? End of next season if not top 4 or even 3? 15 games in if he’s 4 points off top 4? End of this season if he doesn’t stop trying to play a long ball game with two midgets up front?

This season is a write off - Levy made one of his rare mistakes in not ditching Poch at the end of last season (or before) and that's on him.

So he gets this year to work out what he needs, next to start putting it together, showing improvement in the third year. If he's not competing in years three and four then we'll need to look at a replacement.

I'm not but I'm willing to give him a year. I thought, and still think, that he's yesterday's man and that he'll go off the rails after a couple of seasons. That said, he inherited a mess and needs to be given a summer window and some time with the players to put it right.

Mourinho won't be here in year four, he's never lasted that long at a club

Well that is obviously wrong because if the current manager and the second best squad in the league had beaten Chelsea, who are crap, the twice we've played them we would be fourth.
Have you ever fixed motivation/confidence/attitude problems in staff?

Even for those of us who excel at it, it can take months to repair damage that can be done by a bad manager in weeks.

Its FAR too early to make judgements on Jose and only fools would do so ( imo), he came into a clusterfudge of a team and since then he has lost our two main goal scorers. Lets see what the moves in the summer are and take it from there. Biggest problem for Jose here is that some fans were against him from game one and are judging him on personal feelings so far.

And when you say ‘improvement’ do you mean on Pochettino’s full seasons?... so better than 4th place as a minimum?

i didn’t want him but I desperately want him to succeed. I think he gets next season no matter what but if that season results in no top 4 or trophy then that will be his lot.

I do worry about him playing deep, defensive football with long balls up to forwards with no physical presence however. I remember AVB playing a suicidal high line against Liverpool with a central defensive pair of Dawson and Capoue and wondered if he was trying to be sacked. Jose’s long balls up to Moura and Bergwjin leaves me wondering the same thing.

So if he had us finishing (say) 10th next season then he gets a third?
Absolutely. We were only heading one way in the table when he took over.

Every manager should get a couple of summer windows to put their own team in place.

Edit: At least the ones who have shown themselves capable of being managers of a serious football club.

Wonder if we’ll get our money back for Ndombele. Looks a massive ask to break even on this clunker at the moment.
