the brazi lad ganzo we have looked at but deal complicated all third partys ect.

Rumours afloat of Louis Saha if Pav goes. Possibly a Pienaar/Saha swap.

Krasic has apparently joined Lazio.

Rodallega.

Ive never been a fan. Ive always argued against those who suggest him as a good buy - scorer of great goals not great goal scorer kind of thing, MOTD highlights reel special, not actually prolific enough.

But for a few reasons Im seeing sense in this. Desperation perhaps!
- He isnt Pavlyuchenko. He is more mobile and works harder.
- He plays often on the right of the front 3 at Wigan, possible squad cover?
- Set piece specialist
- Scores most of his goals from range

All things that (as a replacement to Pav) look like pluses to me.

Aside from the fact he is out of contract in the summer and so would likely come in for less than we sell Pav

did Redknapp write that

id take Rodallega

not exactly what we want but as Nayim pointed out he offers us things that someone like Pav and even Defoe dont

and a fit Saha is a menace thats for sure. Not fit very often though

im sick of buying old bottlers who couldn't hack it at the very top. when are we going to start really building for the future?

Not to mention his injury record

What's with the Zamora/Saha/Rodallega contemption all round? Surely we need to be aiming higher than releagation fodder starters. How about someone with potential and ability, not some fcuking cloggers

Saha has actually featured in 97 Prem games for Everton over the last 3 and a half seasons, scoring 27

i never thought he'd played in so many games. Poor scoring record though

Bent had a better record than that and was a superior player allr ound - yet he was chased out with pitchforks and torches.

No thanks, mate

agree with you but something hasnt been right with our striker search for much longer than just this transfer window

scouting? chairman? manager? Id say all share the blame somehow

Be really poor if we still have Dos Santos here rotting away for another few months. Can't see how Levy can hold out for silly money for him much longer. But the strikers linked are so average it makes me wonder what our strategy is, if we have one hat is? Maybe it is the stadium project which is leading Levy to resist going in major for anyone, but this has been an issue for a while. To think if Ade gets injured we might be left with Pav makes me shudder. Really thought we would view this window as a chance to strengthen to push on for the top 3.
