Lamela is a fudging show pony on his bad days. Always taking too many touches, rolling the ball with the sole of his boot rather than passing and moving. Walker-Peters on the left gives us nothing going forward. And giving away that penalty didn't exactly help either. Skipp showed he's not ready at this level. Foyth was decent, I thought. Wanyama, okay, he has just returned from injury, but he was beyond awful. Poch showed with his substitutions that he was perfectly happy to go out of the tournament.

I feel that our season could be disintegrating in front of our eyes now.

Why does a manager need 6 months for a player to be ready?

No other club has this issue.

Well we’ve bought Dele, Eriksen, Toby & Son who I would call star players. The problem is those types of players cost 2-3x the amount these days.

It is annoying to lose. But really we’re over achieving.

However, if we get a huge stadium naming rights deal and still don’t spend I will change my opinion.

Of course we are much better and consistent than the 90’s BUT trophies are everything.

Agree with your individual assessments but ultimately despite this being the lower priority we missed a pen and a sitter and gave them a pen when under no defensive pressure. 2nd half we lacked the quality to turn the pressure into goals but I don’t think Kane, Son and Alli’s would have all been rested if fit.
