Dele Alli

Cursed!

To have not just Kane, But Dele and son being away is just our luck. Feb is the month that define a lot of our season.

Please Lord. Instill some of what Harry has into Fernando. Just a slice.

So milk cup semi final with out our front 2.

Then a trip to crystal Palace in the FA cup.

Then Watford @ home, Saudi Sportswashing Machine @ home, Leicester @ home.

Borussia Dortmund @ home, Burnley away and Chelsea away.

Eeek and that's only February and the end of Jan.

Then Arsenal @ home on the 2nd of March which sounds like is going to be too soon for Dele and Kane.

Injuries where always going to come at some stage this season due to the players work load and number of games.

Son was always going to be away

Issue we have now is the lack of options means flogging the rest of the squad

Tough tough game, backs to the wall performance required but at least we have Jan, Toby and a resurgent Rose. If no Moura we have nothing on the counter and we will need to ask some questions of them to prevent a pure game of defence v attack.

Even the greatest romantic will agree we risk no one in this game.

If we are at our best, with Son back for the last two we could win these. My concern is the crowd could get frustrated especially with little on the bench to ramp things up.

Borussia Dortmund @ home,
Better atmosphere for Euro nights, Son, Sissoko and Moura could be key in this one as we may need to soak it up and hit them on the break.
Burnley away a game we would pick to have players missing / rested in. They have improved recently though.
and Chelsea away. Fingers crossed Kane and Alli come back ahead of schedule for this one!!

It's going to be difficult, I'm trying to be positive but to still be in top 4 and at least one cup competition would be a great place to be in March, as still fancy us when our A listers are back. It's also given some perspective on the midfield woes!! At least one of Moura, Lamela or Llorente need to fill the void in the same way Sissoko and Winks have.

For fudge sake. We flogged the squad this year but what fudging luck to have Alli and Kane out for a month at the same time and at the same time Son is away.

If Poch gets us anything at the end of the season, I want statues erected in his honour.

Im not sure you can realistically plan for the number of injuries we have had this season - our squad is plenty deep, two players for each position, in several cases three and we've even had to leave a couple of players unregistered, we've just had too many injuries at the same time in the same areas of the pitch (and to key players too)

We are at breaking point though and even though im not really a fan of panic buying it's getting to a point where we may have to get someone in - Dembele leaving means a space is now open so hopefully we are working to fill it, either by bringing forward a target for the summer or by a stop gap loan deal

would that be like those swordsmans guards you see at military weddings but over the entrance to new WHL? a Pork Sword Arch?

Posted else where, sorry for repeating.

But we had Wanyama, Dembele, Lamlea in the squad that are injury prone

Winks coming back from long term injury and we wouldnt know how long it would take to be back up to speed.

Add Son being away - 7 players late back from the world cup I think it was pretty obvious this would happen at some point.

Rooney in on loan could be useful, certainly would allow Christian to drop deeper and he still would be useful.

Malcolm and hijacking Suarez loan deal as well.

We cant rely on Llorente/Lamela and Moura

We need at least 1 player in, surely no one can deny this now?
If we get someone in I think it has to still be a Dembele replacement, which should have been planned since the summer.
EDIT - agree with your post above, Lamela is lower impact as we are strong in the area he plays but I would love to know how his latest contract is geared towards appearances rather than wages given his historic availability)

Moura is having a tough enough time displacing one of Alli, Eriksen and Son, Son is now by far Kane's most able deputy and we've seen that any third choice out and out number 9 loses confidence and sharpness due to the lack of opportunities.

Plus Poch seems to take a while to bed in new players, so a new player is unlikely to have much impact in the next 6 weeks.

They are all players which take up positions in our squad regardless and as the other available squad places are filled by other players im not sure what could have been done about it?

According to Physioroom.com we've had 38 individual injuries since the start of the season.

Does anyone know who is keeping track of actual minutes lost to injury?
