No Sturridge, Richards, Ferdinand (that scumbag over Ferdinand ffs) or Carrick. Three of those should be starters and the other one in and around the starting eleven.
Henderson over Carrick in the reserve list? Carrick not in the squad? Stewart '0 assist, 0 goal Downing'? No Ferdinand?

its amazing isnt it, Hodgson has just taken over the job, has decided to stick with the majority of players who got England to the Euros, and yet he is being bashed from every corner
England will be lucky to get out of that group, i dont know why there are so many high fcuking expectations. There is a major dearth of talented England footballers!!!
even if he selected Carrick, Richards, Lennon, Crouch etc its not going to make that much of a difference is it??.....these arent game changers, they are not world class players, they are average just like the majority of players eligible for England.
England have had far better players, far better squads, and still flopped at tournaments.

ive been impressed with lampard since AVB left.....Di Matteo has him playing deeper and it seems to work, certainly worked a treat against us in the Fa semi.

Wouldn't surprise me if he was in the job for the next world cup. The FA saying Hodgson was 1st choice is utter gonad*s. Levy probably demanded ?ú15m compensation and they thought sod that and went elsewhere. If Harry had been sacked during our poor run,I guarantee it would be him in charge now.

Roy should have left Terry at home. I think it's a really big mistake to take him, especially having left Rio out. Much, much simpler and more harmonious to leave both at home, bring Jagielka and hope that he, Cahill, Lescott and Jones can cover CB. I would have thought those 4 would see you through a tournament.
Downing is entirely undeserving. Entirely. If Adam Johnson can play on the left - and I see no reason whatsoever why he can't - he should have been in instead.
