Dele Alli

Read above dude, more money now for a move in a year. No brainer.

Generating that move in a year becomes more difficult by virtue of the contract he signed today. He’s now got an extra two years on his deal. If he goes, Levy will extract an additional premium for that two years which will dwarf the additional wages that Alli is getting over the next 12 months and that reduces his leverage with any potential new club. If he’s intent on moving, he’s an idiot for signing that contract.

Bale. Above. Not saying he will go but he will go at some point so the contract means nothing other than he gets a payrise IMO.

Sorry mate, if Barca come in for Christian, he’s off. I believe he will leave a lot sooner than Dele.

No need to be sorry. People see things differently and that's good. If I was proven right all the time I wouldn't be such a knob would I!
I think it's completely the other way round but we could both be wrong. It could be Kane that leaves first. Who knows.

Contract extensions are just good business, player gets more money now and a higher starting position when they move, club gets a higher fee and most likely an agreed release clause to negotiate from when the bidding starts.

I don’t think you can read anything into the intention of the players or the coaching staff.

Sorry but how did you work that out? He signed an extension in 2012 and left in 2013. I'm saying contract extensions mean sweet fa as the Bale one proves that. He left a year after signing one and Alli will do the same.

Because a spot opened up in the first 11 at Real and told Bale it was now or probably not ever. I think Bale was always intended to move the following summer, but it was brought forward a year because he had a ridiculous season. When Real had a spot, they believed he could fill it.

As I said, a lot of things need to happen for Dele to be in that position. Right now he just isn't there to be a first 11 player for Barca or Real.

Also, I think it's worth watching that documentary on him from a couple months back. Phenoms. Dele has a great family behind him, and I think he knows the value of doing the right thing for the long term, having a home, and being where you are loved. I think he's with us for a while yet before moving, but despite his cheeky exterior he all too well knows the balance of being in a place with the right atmosphere.

Agree with the second part of your post but I think he’d get plenty of minutes in Spain.

I think he'd get plenty of minutes too, I just don't think he's a nailed on first 11 starter who they make their galactico signing of the summer, at least not yet anyway.

This will sound a little crazy considering the score on Sunday but I think he’d have more opportunities in the Barca MF than Madrids.

Also, not many galactico’s around at the minute, there has been talk of Hazard, but I wouldn’t swap him for Dele.

Rumours this was signed in the summer along with Eriksen and the club were waiting for the right moment to release the news. No idea if true but could be something to bring some cheer in light of the stadium news.

Loads of talk that Eriksen has a chronic injury and he has a new child so may decide to stay put, I think once the stadium opens up there will be a lot more positivity around the club and players will realise we've arrived with the big boys (or closer to them).

Contract extensions for our best players are always good news. Means either the player is happy to say, or the club get more wedge when we sell.
