That comment was designed to get the regular pessimist knee-jerking melters into such a frenzy that their heads would explode 'Scanners'-style, thereby stopping any further garbage being spouted by them.

I have no confidence in us achieving 4th place minimum if we continue like this. It would be a massive disappointment.

I don't know who theportugeezer is unfortunately so that wit has flown straight over. You are entitled to your opinion and that's fine by me but I don't think what he said prior to the Semi and the subsequent performance acceptable as a paying customer to use the clubs terminology of me and to lose a 10 point gap over 7 games and finish outside the CL places when that was apparently the objective is even less acceptable.

I have a major problem with the idea that cups don't represent progress for us as a club when we have won nothing in over a decade and the manager has at times taken liberties with tournaments we are in with his team selection. Dortmund away in the Europa, Chelsea in the semi final last year, yesterday too if you disagree with the GK selection so forgive me if I don't buy into this cult like feeling of the chairman and manager being exempt from any criticism because they have succeeded in converting swathes of the fanbase into sheep on the basis that we are better now than we were in the 90s and we should be grateful.

Having said all of that, The CL money will make no difference to us as a club because none of it will be ploughed back into where it should be which is player recruitment and retainment.

Hey hey hey!! DO NOT put me in the Poch out phalanx! I've said absolutely nothing of that. I just think we'll balls it up and finish 5th. That's all. Please refrain from giving me opinions I don’t have!

Which is what people are failing to understand. If we finished 5th at Wembley and had been around that position for the most part then cool. To be 10 points clear with 21 available and then somehow manage to finish 5th is thoroughly unacceptable and it should be to anyone who wants to actually achieve anything. You can state what you would be happy with before a ball is kicked but targets are revised throughout the season based on ongoing performance.

And "doing a united" meant winning the EL, not finishing 5th. You know, winning a trophy.

Nothing there about being happy with anything. It's just what I predicted. We've done better in some aspects, and worse in others.
 
I think I predicted we could win the league!

I actually thought we'd be absolutely fine with Wembley as I thought Rose and Walker as wingbacks on the big pitch would be devastating.

That was before I knew Danny was fudged and I refused to believe the rumours about Walker.

I thought we couldn't be so stupid to sell the best attacking right back in the world to a direct rival..........
 
Lets be honest i do not think that there are fans on here who think Poch should go, he has done great since coming here and i hope he continues to do so. My only wish/hope is that he stops coming out with stupid statements before MASSIVE games ( which yesterday was/should have been) like he did, saying that winning the FA CUP is not that important ( which is more or less is what he said) was crazy.
