OMT The Mighty THFC vs Abu Dhabi City

The match-ups don't work for some reason. City are a very good side, bouncing back from a bad week or so, and we can't work then out. Liverpool did, but we had their number.

Honestly, they are the only team that we have played this year that seem to have us shaken to our core. There is a psychological element here that needs addressing, because we do not look like the same team against City. It's like we are expecting to get beat and the players are so tentative.

City's movement and shape is great, but we do not even look like we want to be on the pitch.

Yep, we look like the nervy team coming off of three poor defeats, for all of the talent we have Ederson hasn’t had a save to make.

It’s been a thoroughly depressing performance.

And this is why it’s very difficult to let players like Walker and Toby leave and still compete. Players like Trippier and Sanchez will cost you in the big games.

Yes, you can cope with one Trippier/Walker downgrade, and done so with two (Alder/Sanchez) but just need to be aware that there's only a certain amount that a team can cope with

Sanchez is a liability. Just like Dier. Don’t rate either of them!

The other 9 must have been good this season. 3rd/4th in the league, cruised through a tough champions league group. They’ve had decent seasons give or take the odd game and you would do well to find better with our finances.

Sanchez is young and in his first season in the Prem. Not many young CBs come in and do as well as he has straight away.

They're the only team that manages to pressure us this high for a sustained period of time. That's it. Need to learn to adjust to that.

Sanchez has made mistakes today for sure but his performance has marked equally inept performances from Dier and Trippier.

Been outclassed by a much better team, we are miles away from this city team, even Liverpool are leaving us behind.

Sadly Sanchez is being singled as is normal in this place but senior player have been equally as culpable.
Dier is fare too slow for top holding midfielder. It leaves the centrebacks far too exposed.

Keeper has caused chaos, Dembele didn’t turn up until it was 2-0, Harry has given the city cb’s the night off, manager hasn’t fixed it.

Dogbrick Tottenham
