TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs ASTON VILLA - OMT

You'ev supported us for 50 years?! Then you should know better. We're going to be top 4 this season, probably top 3. And that's not good enough?!

I remember we were chasing Chelsea and he brought defoe, we got battered, and everyone (probably you included) crucified him for changing the shape and "2 UP FRONT DOESN'T WORK!!!!" "HARRY'S fudgeD US UP!!". Fact is, a lot of fans on this board don't know what they're talking about and speak utter cack, and will slag off Harry whatever he does if the result doesn't go perfectly for us.

lot of truth in this.

People need to stop going on about us dominating the game, Given didnt even have a save to make really. Lots of huff and puff, possessions, crosses, corners etc but not really any chances.

Dominating is when Arse, Utd, City etc are missing 3/4 one on ones and open headers gamer after game etc

What apart from that stunning save from Bale? Doesn't that count?

maybe not everyone else saw it as a must win at that stage of the game.

maybe we'd played for 40+ mins with 10 against 11 and that was the point at which it was decided that discretion was the better part of valour - better take a point than none.

so you're saying that Harry has never positively affected a game once it starts? he 'always comes up short'?

No. I didn't say Harry has never positively affected a game. He certainly isn't a tactician though by any stretch.

Why do you put words into my mouth rather than state your own point of view?.

I also havent said that winning away against 10 men is a given. I dont think, however, waiting until the 89th minute to bring on Scott Parker constitutes an optimal tactical approach from the manager.

Redknapp just fudge off. fudge OFF. You knew that Saudi Sportswashing Machine lost and we had nothing to lose, and you bring on Scott Parker for VDV. Any other manager would have made an offensive substitution and you bring on a DM when Villa had fudge all during the whole game. fudge OFF.

well that's not correct, is it.

if we'd have both lost and we lose next week, a draw for them would have seen them above us.

in that respect it's a valuable point.

you saw Rose's red card, right?

Thing that bothers me is we never get enough players in the box when attacking.

Corners are a joke. We had 20 they had the best chance to score from one

Danny rose makes a challenge like that. Why do it? WHY!!

i have stated my own view, clearly.

you said he alwayscomes up short, ergo, he's never positively influenced a game during play.

you don't, but he might. it doesn't necessarily make him wrong because you disagree. that's a pretty simple statement.

Armchair Expert !

If ever there was a case of "state the f^cking obvious" then you're moniker sums it up perfectly .

Rather than look at 90 minutes of something that irks you , maybe You should put into context where we are, where you thought we would be and where we could be. It's called real life , not armchair opinions.

No its not. A message board is designed for armchair opinions. In my opinion harry made some very strange decisions today. Again.
I'm able to tell the difference between real life and a football message board. Thanks all the same.

The thing is that had results gone against us during the last few weeks we should have been out of this race. So perhaps whilst being a bottler, we are amongst some of the best bottlers in town, Saudi Sportswashing Machine & Arsenal. So perhaps none of us should waste any energy on stupid OMT or match ratings threads and just wait until the FT whistle at the last game as it appears nobody has a GHod damned clue what will happen between now and then.

Sums up our 2012 really...

Twitter / @OptaJoe: 1 - Tottenham have won just one game after falling behind in the Premier League this season. Forlorn.

Twitter / @OptaJoe: 22 - Aston Villa have dropped more points from winning positions than any other team in the top flight this season. Gifts.

Twitter / @SpursStatMan: 56 - Gareth Bale has now had 56 attempts on goal since he last netted in the Premier League. Delayed.

Twitter / @SpursStatMan: 63.3 - Spurs had 63.3% of the possession, made 42 crosses, 26 take-ons, 19 corners and had 22 attempts on goal in today's game. Denied.

indeed, but you state it like a fact.

No I didnt. Should I write 'in my opinion' before every post?
This is a message board. 99% of what is posted is opinions. We have two differing opinions. We may both be wrong.

But thats, er, what football message boards are for, i believe. For airing your opinion on football.

Thats the fudging problem. Everybody is thinking about the next game. How about thinking about the present in stead? This is the biggest problem, our mentality-play it safe, in stead of going for it. And that is why we will always be behind the scum. We had much more to win than to lose today. End of.
