TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs ASTON VILLA - OMT

Who will be playing next week then? If rose wasn't such a raasclaart we could play the same team again, but he had to go get himself sent off.

---------------- Friedel --------------
Walker --- Gallas --- Kaboul --- Bale
Lennon --- Parker -- Sandro --- Modric
------------ VDV -----------------------
------------------- Ade -----------------

?

I'd play Kaboul left back & King in the middle. Take Modric out of the middle & Bale away from left wing and it'll be a draw at best

Harry did fudge all. Stood on the side line literally bricking his pants as he to make decisions.

The master plan? Modders on the right, Lennon on the left and Parker on. In the 89th minute. It took him 40 minutes to think up that stroke of genious

so he didn't move Bale to LB then?

a change doesn't have to be a personnel change.

we were all over them, so no wholesale change needed. then, a last throw of the dice with 5 to go. it's not exactly unheard of is it.

you honestly, really think a man that's managed over 1000 games can't make a decision?

again, just because if he was happy with a point at that stage of the game doesn't mean he's any of the things you've called him, just because you disagree with him.

so so dissapointed with harry and the players today. we got given a lifeline to get 3rd and finish above arsenal for the 1st time in..?
yet its the same spurs that cant seem to handle pressure and get the result when needed

I'm tempted to play King at the left back, really. His passing is much better and he doesn't need to get beyond Bale anyway. Doubt his legs can do it, though.

No, if were being realistic, we should have converted at least 2 of our 20 corners, absolutely no excuse to not beat that shower of brick

no excuse.

unforgivable.

unacceptable.

that's half of what i see on here after we don't win.

there is opposition on the park you know, 11 other premier league players whose job it is to stop us doing ours.

we're never going to have it all our own way, some would do well to remember that as they twist the knife.

Would definitely play Kaboul there,he has got an engine on him and also a shot if he cuts in. Gallas or King are not left backs.

It doesnt mean he isnt though, just because you say hes not.

Where was the 'gamble' in the last 5 minutes? putting on a defensive midfielder?

Yes but by making good decisions, as the manager you attempt to tip the balance as far in your favour as possible. Thats where Harry always comes up short.

No Defoe on in a must win game - Parker instead? Whats your rationale for that?

You obviously don't know how football works if you think we can just turn up at win any game. They score from their only shot, a massively deflected 30 yard hit and hope from a virtual unknown of a player. Sometimes it happens. There doesn't need to be blame asigned, and hysterical reactions don't need to take place.

After following Spurs for nearly 50 years, I rather do think I know how football works, thanks.

Spurs needed to win today. Pure and simple. We were playing a crap side with a crap manager. Spurs are a vastly better side than them. Their tactics were completely predictable. We laboured. We huffed and puffed and could not blow their house down. We looked so predictable, and not changing the attacking options was ridiculous and bottling it. So Redkrapps role in all of this was???? He picks the team and the tactics. He was woefully lacking in the latter today.

We should have romped a win against those ****s today. Utterly woeful result, and NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

New manager please.

GHod this place is becoming more and more unbearable as the seasons go on. It's truly embracing reading some of these posts. Yes we should have won, but we absolutely dominated the game from start to finish, and barring a lucky deflection or the fact that rose is premiership quality and doesn't possess much of a brain we would have gone on and won. And people are complaining that we are ONLY 4th and Harry is useless and we are awful blah blah blah blah

Fact is, for all the idiots going "A DRAW IS AS GOOD AS A LOSS" (I did this with a mong face to give you the image), no!!! Now we are only 1 point behind arsenal, if they draw we can still go above them!!! It's VERY IMPORTANT!!!!

Ha sorry mate, just reacting to a) Everyone insulting the players and manager, b) my frustration at the result, and c) Your use of the word 'literally', which drives me insane at the best of times.

Here i dont think 'literally' was pushing the boat out. He looked extremely frightened to me, wouldn't rule it out totally. Although I have to admit that the evidence is circumstantial.

This!

We did alright today, not great mind. A lot of players have more in them, but we weren't terrible.

You'ev supported us for 50 years?! Then you should know better. We're going to be top 4 this season, probably top 3. And that's not good enough?!

I remember we were chasing Chelsea and he brought defoe, we got battered, and everyone (probably you included) crucified him for changing the shape and "2 UP FRONT DOESN'T WORK!!!!" "HARRY'S fudgeD US UP!!". Fact is, a lot of fans on this board don't know what they're talking about and speak utter cack, and will slag off Harry whatever he does if the result doesn't go perfectly for us.

It was the same story really as the past half a season. We are great at holding on to possession but we just do not do enough to open teams up. Its all very well saying each week we were unlucky, we had more shots, more possession, more corners, more this more that than the other team but when the outcome is the same and we continue to drop points for the same reason then you have to question what work is being done to overcome it. This story was being played out even before Rose went off. Would the outcome have been different if he wasnt sent off. No one can say.

My main issues with today was the fact that Redknapp must have known that Saudi Sportswashing Machine lost. This means then a loss or draw wouldnt have made any difference in whether we finished 4th or not. With Saudi Sportswashing Machine losing if we drew today we still would have needed to win our last game. If we lost today we would have still needed to win our last game to guarantee 4th. If we had won today than that secures our top 4 finish and puts us 3rd in the league going into the last game. I thought with this in mind we had license to go for it more. Im amazed that we didnt go for an attacking sub with 15 mins to go or even at all. We had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Thats what annoyed me.

The fact that we havent capitalised yet again on others slip up is no suprise as its happened time and time again recently.

maybe not everyone else saw it as a must win at that stage of the game.

maybe we'd played for 40+ mins with 10 against 11 and that was the point at which it was decided that discretion was the better part of valour - better take a point than none.

so you're saying that Harry has never positively affected a game once it starts? he 'always comes up short'?
