In their defence they make the effort
They set it up and they made the contacts
I don’t begrudge them their perceived moment of glory

It's the kind of thing neighbourhood watch people do though isn't it? I'd imagine if any of them work their day jobs are traffic wardens or working for the HSE.

It’s worse than demanding a “full and believable” account of our actions in a transfer window.

I dont have much time for these guys, but its good that they're trying to raise this issue about the DNA of the current regime/direction

As I've said elsewhere, the only way which boring football will be accepted at Spurs is if we're wildly successful. Given the competition, that looks unlikely. Boring football and 5th/6th finishes, isnt acceptable - we could have a manager who plays attractive football (but wide open) and finish there

We've gone back to signing young players with potential, which is great, but the brand of Nuno's football just won't work

What is the strategy though? Do we have one?

We've started buying good young players again, so thats a plus

Unfortunately, the tactics are completely in contrast to Levy's comments about getting back to an attacking style of football

"This meeting, therefore, is an opportunity for the decision makers at THFC to explain their plans to supporters. This explanation should include plans for this season and beyond, an explanation of how success will be measured and how the Club’s DNA will be regained."

    Plans:
    1. Appoint manager who isn't on big wages, won't really moan when we don't go out and get him his targets and is pretty cheap to get rid of if the natives get a bit restless.
    2. Keep the wage bill on or around 40% of turnover and don't spend too much on transfer fees so that the huge gross debt can be paid down out of THFC funds which will increase the value of our asset as high as possible.
    3. At all costs avoid making personal investments into THFC and/or diluting our equity to inject funds.
    4. Sit tight and hope the ESL or something similar comes round again and by the time it does that a club with more ambitious owners such as Aston Villa or Leicester don't get invited to make up the numbers instead of us.
    5. If things start to get a bit noisy and uncomfortable in the stands sack the manager as the fall guy knowing that it will buy us another year to hope that point 4 happens.
    6. Hope that the fans keep on coming and continue to pay the highest admission prices in the country.

How is success measured?.... That's one's easy - by the net asset worth of messrs Lewis and Levy (which is why we are praying for number 4 to happen as quickly as possible).

Those are the likely honest answers (which is why there is actually no point in the Trust asking the board these questions).

Like he gives a fcuk about the style of football.... That was a comment to remove a bit if pressure that had come about due to a poor season and a bit of fan unrest at the Villa game.

Of course he cares about it given it impacts our image, brand value, ability to raise marketing cash etc

I find it quite puzzling that some fans have more loyalty and love for Levy and ENIC than they do for the actual club itself.

The Trust undermines the no doubt good work they do with this latest nonsense. What exactly are they looking for the club to say? Like our plans are x y z. What this recent statement shows is the Trust are just a bunch of whinging fans. They should have kept their powder dry and focused on things where they can offer something. Thinking the club should 'explain their plans' is just infantile and futile. "Our plan is to win the league" Oh okay. Got you, cheers. What a waste of time.

Of course. Who wouldn't want that? That is the point: the Trusts questions are completely stupid. The Turst are trying to be an institution, and to have clout they should be. But if they lose their shi1 as soon as we lose the NLD it just makes them look amateur. I know they probably are - no one is paid - but they could achieve more if they acted with some poise.

What is the Trusts plan if they got this meeting and based on what they are told they:

    A) like the plan
    B) don’t like the plan
    C) don’t believe the plan as they are told is true?
