Got in late and dinner was on the shelf with tin foil over it.

Sat down to eat at the dinner table while the wife was doing some paperwork.

Said this chicken is pretty tough. She says in a snarky voice it's pork and walks out saying dont forget to pick up Tom later.

Sometimes you can never say anything right.

Tomorrow is my turn cooking and I'm doing lamb shanks with roasted vegetables. Sticky toffee pudding with custard for afters.

What you ladies eat tonight ?

    Top draw fella top draw.

I like it when people sit and eat as a family. We usually do but I had an appointment so have come in late.

Think it is important to sit round a table together and eat and talk. Hope you do that with your children mate.

Love those Yorkshire's, often get good ones in Castro pubs.

We had Jacket Potatoes today. With tuna, cheese and beans. The least Kashmiri dish you could imagine but we were both at work today and the effort had to be low. Also the teenager just eats everything we give him these days which is a relief as modern kids are fussy clams.

I went to a pretty decent restaurant in Melbourne last Sunday, Michelin star chef, from Yorkshire (same as my fathers side of the family), got chatting to him about football, cooking, life etc, he wrote me down his Yorkshire pudding recipe if anyone wants it I’m happy to share it. I haven’t tried it yet but turning it into a pie would be easy. I’d never even thought of YP pie.

Had a slow cooker Guinness stew that I made yesterday, with mashed potatoes.
    Probably my favourite dish.

I do all my own cooking, mostly from meat sourced from a local farm. Batch cook at the weekend and freeze them.

Had a frozen pizza with pepperoni and some added jalapeno slices (the pickled kind) to give it some kind of taste. About as good as it gets on a Monday.

Funny enough I had roast lamb and veg yesterday, and used the leftovers for a spicy bhuna curry tonight. Was banging both nights, washed down with a nice Domaine de Boissan Ventoux.

I'm not Indian, so I can't say for sure, but it certainly tasted very authentic! Really good stuff.
