I’d even go as far as if the attacker’s back foot is level with the defender’s front foot then you’re on. Reward the attacking play, more goals.
Could do that too. The difference between those two would be a question of what you want with the rule change. A more "fair" rule, or more goals. Even the former would lead to more goals.
 
Shouldn't that have been a handball on Kante? No different from what we benefitted from earlier.

If the ball hits the hand or arm of an attacker at all in the direct build up to a goal then it’s disallowed, regardless of intent, position, proximity etc.

That's absurd and certainly not doing anything to simplify the already over complicated handball rules. At the rate they're chopping and changing the rules though, this stupid rule might not last until the end of the season.

It's been like that for a couple of years, it's the interpretation of the handball by defenders that keeps changing
