The Goon Thread - Officially Second In A One Horse Race

fudge me, how bricky does you PR department have to be to sign off on getting rid of your mascot at this point in time?

Uh-oh...i believe the Athletic are reporting that Arsenal may actually be prepared to pay Partey's release clause and make an official bid after all:eek:

They've apparently wired Partey's transfer clause over to Atletico, are now dingdonging them about over Torreira, suddenly refusing the loan and insisting on a permanent deal which Atleti are furious with.

Shame if they get Partey, he's a damn good player. But if their shenanigans lead to Atleti somehow pulling the plug on that deal, it would be hilarious. :p

Thought this clown was going to be the absolute nuts for them

pity they've strengthened by selling him.

If they had got Aouar and Partey it could have been very worrying. There's no denying that Partey is a very good move - and it's going to be awful listening to the endless refrain of variants on the 'Partey-time' headlines and commentator catchphrases over the coming months.

How worried should we be by Arsenal's dealings this window?
On the surface Arteta seems to have solved blind spots they've had for years since Wenger became too cool for school...
