Rodrigo Bentancur

Good turn around from his lack lustre performances over the last few matches. His one touch passes are amazing. Speeds up things through midfield so much.

He has been an excellent signing. Taken to the pace of the league like a duck to water. I'm excited to watch him develop further over the next couple of seasons.

I still think he's vulnerable to a strong press but, as you say, he's only going to get better.

Like most players then
Yeah, fair point. But what I meant was more that Bentancur's style of play means that he can look awful when it's not coming off -- when he gets caught in possession or when the one-touch passes are being picked off. Whereas a more conservative midfielder like Hojbjerg won't look as bad.

Hojbjerg has looked plenty bad at times this season.

I agree

Don't think he was lacklustre in the NLD or against Burnley. Even better against Norwich of course.

I agree and a good point.

Will be interesting to see if he can adapt to those situations or not next season. One of the (few) things standing in the way of him being a fantastic player.

for me the only automatic starters in the team:

Kane
Son
Romero
Lloris
And Bentancur

Who would you start instead of dier? Perisic is one of the best lwbs in the world. Bissouma is superior to skipp (for now) and hojbjerg.

I guess what I’m alluding to is that their level is close to the very very top in their positions. Others in the team like dier play, as well perisic and others because of the current personnel at the club.

And no I’m not saying anyone that I’ve mentioned as secondary are poor.
