TBF, Barnes put in a leg breaker and the ref missed it. The guy should've walked.

Except it wasn't a tackle - he went for and played the ball. The subsequent follow through and arrival from another angle of Matic was where the contact was made. Half a second later and Matic might have hit Barnes. Matic feigned injury until he realised he had no backing then flew at Barnes .... retaliation has for many years judged harsher than initial 'offence', AND he pushed him over. Red red red, all day long .... if he appeals successfully it will be a disgrace.


As for Verts - the referee had blown after first rabid tackle and Verts put hands up to stop the impact or worse, causing Spammer to rebound and grovel like a girlie. Ref took no action, which speaks volumes.

Satisfied that we came from 2 goals down to draw this match. But really disappointed we failed to win this match. This is surely 2 valuable points lost in our top 4 race. We should not have conceded 2 goals at home to a shyte team like West Ham in the first place. It is really annoying that we have failed to beat West Ham at home in our last 3 matches now. We seem to be letting too many teams becoming our jinx teams in recent years. Hope we change that habit as it is costing us many league points.

As soon as I saw Eriksen not starting, knew we would struggle. It is no logic to rest our key players like Eriksen and Kane. Pochettino did the mistake against Fiorentina by resting Kane. Here he did the same mistake by not starting Eriksen. Pochettino should have realised by now that we cannot afford to rest key players like them. Eriksen's creativity would have helped our attack more in the first half against West Ham. Look at how he improved our attack when he came in the 2nd half.

Credit to Rose and Kane for scoring the goals, even if both were lucky to score. It was a mis hit from Rose that managed to cheat the West Ham goalie. Similiarly, thought it was a soft penalty for Kane which he only managed to score from the rebound. Despite this, nice to see Kane continuing his goal run. He has now scored 14 league goals, just 3 behind top league top scorers Aguero and Costa. It will be amazing if Kane goes on to become the league's top scorer this season.

To concede 2 goals to a team like West Ham at home only shows how poor our defence have been lately. We just can't seem to keep a clean sheet nowadays. Even Lloris seems to be beaten easily in goal now. Wish Pochettino will do something about our defending before it spoils our season. I really think Pochettino should start a defensive midfielder like Stambouli regularly to protect our defence more.

We have simply lost too many points at home this season. It might come back to affect us later in the season. But fortunately for us, other teams in the top 4 race are also struggling. Otherwise we would have been out of the top 4 race already. Hope the late comeback draw against West Ham will prove to be crucial later in the season.
