Oliver Skipp

Evening Standard reporting that he felt pain again when training alone yesterday.

Think we should now send him home to rest until mid July and only cut that short if we suffer an injury crisis in central midfield.

Its a great shame as peh is still shaky - he did 3 or 4 stupid things against newc and skipp and bentancur would be rock solid.

Hopefully one of the two lwb’s are ready for the weekend.

Real shame if true, hope it's not a major setback.

It’s a nice enough idea apart from that an injury to Bentancur puts us in to the crisis of having to play a PEH / Winks partnership.

If true from the standard it is a damn shame though, can’t even remember what caused the injury in the first place, then adding on the infection too, from my fairly ignorant position in terms of sports medicine + Skipps condition it doesn’t seem like any risks should be taken.

With you on the LWB front though.

It's a condition due to playing a LOT of football at a young age

He just needs rest, like months of rest

Osteitis pubis is a painful condition that causes inflammation around the center of the pelvis. It usually occurs as a sports injury due to overuse of the hip and leg muscles. It's particularly common in athletes who play sports like soccer

I'm in my fifties and it's the first time hearing about this condition! Didn't happen to Ronaldo, Fabregas, Gerrard, Lampard and had to learn it from Spurs!

Sent from my SM-T865 using Fapatalk

In my sixties and still regularly giving my pelvis the same grinding workouts I put it through in my teens and twenties.

And thirties and fifties.

There was a decade where the kids kinda slowed things up. Might be why I'm still going at it. Rest up, Ollie.

Think Gerard had a lot of injury problems until his early twenty’s which were attributed to “growing pains” which sounds quite similar to this.

Most clubs have had exciting young players going through periods of various injuries at a young age. And players not doing that. A fan of a different club could just as easily include Kane in a similar list to the one above and ignore Skipp being out right now.

Great news for him and the club.

On a selfish level (ie being bothered about where we finish in this current premier league campaign) if he’s injured, then we have Winks or White to fall back on in a double pivot, is there a direct email address to Paratici or Levy to make them aware of this bizarre and entirely unexpected predicament we find ourselves in?
