Don’t tell ship of Theseus or he’ll send you to bed with no supper........

Public service announcement: ASFS is as wrong as wrong can be. Seasons 1 & 2 were watchable B- stuff. Season 3 is horrendous. Nothing that any character does - personally, or professionally - makes any sense. Acting is fine, direction is fine, but the storyline and script must have come from an overfitted AI trained on a few years of whydunnit police procedurals. By episode four or five, moderate interest will have been replaced with cold fury at the time you have wasted. I bailed after six. Mrs SoT carried on bravely to the end, but regretted it.

I’ve just seen this post and the comments on the sinner.

Watched first two episodes S1 so far, it’s been good but having read this will try to keep going with an open mind.

I watched The Detectorists Series 1 last night, loved it. It's been on my watch list for ages, then somebody at work recommended it, funnily enough alongside Marvellous. I did watch Don't Forget The Driver which was decent, but think The Detectorists is better so far. I still need to watch Series 2 of What We Do In The Shadows, too, first (and the film) were excellent.

White Lines - meh - too many soap actors, felt like a soap after 1 or 2 episodes. Binned it.
Gangs of London - started off with potential, descended into absolute farce. Binned it.

Coming off the back of things like Ozark , Better Call Saul and Gangs of London.
I tried Sinner and gave up after 7 episodes. To be fair my misses has enjoyed it and continues to watch it.

The whole premise started well but it just drags on. The characters are just not very interesting. It’s defiantly B- stuff and off the back of some other high quality TV it’s hard to watch.

Glad you enjoyed the detectorists ....it is a little gem.

I do bin things off a lot easier these days. Not sure if my standards are higher or whether i'm too conscious that it might be a waste of my time?

Found zero zero zero on my IPTV (not on english Prime:() then realised like Narcos i was gonna need subtitles :(...so had to bin it.

The gave Catch22 a go (legendary book....so high hopes) ...40mins binned it off. Thinking about it, the whole Blackadder crew would be perfect for this, i suppose 'Goes forth' was it in a roundabout way?

I’m watching an episode per night from seasons 2 of both The Detectorists and WWDITS this week along with occasional bit from season 3 of Killing Eve but of the opinion that peaked in first season.

Heard good things about Gangs of New York but been too lazy to dust off my NowTV box.

Also been having a nostalgia trip and rewatched Stargate SG1 on Sky Two up to season 8 but now remember why I knocked it on the head when the new cast took the reigns.

Working my way through Stargate Atlantis which I never got into the first time around and still not really warming to it, although Samantha Carter’s cameo in last night’s episode did peak my interest.

Foyle's War was such an excellent show. I missed a lot of the later series but it was a lovely thing to watch.

Westworld Season 3 is a return to form. Channeling Black Mirror to good effect and Aaron Paul is such a sympathetic character actor.
