    Quite enjoying the Killers currently.

Although as they’ve been around for 19 years now, they have served a suitably long ebough apprenticeship. Pulling out the Pet Shop boys and then Johnny Marr also helps them appear older.

Her dad was a pretty poor booker, too. The problem is monarchy rather than nepotism.

He did, at least, have a reasonable record of getting globally recognised acts to perform.

His obsession with Coldplay is of concern

To be fair to Emily Eavis - there really are not that many headline worthy bands around.
You need to get a festival that is solid all say.

Only tourists go for the headliner.

I think that used to be the case when there were a lot of strong acts to choose from. With the current state of live music, the only option is to book the globally renowned headline acts and backfill from there.

It doesn't help that the tickets are now sold before anyone's announced - there's no longer an incentive to book anyone decent.

I was part of a group of friends that started a festival (started out as a birthday party), that ended up having 20k+ attendance. In 2008 we had Lauryn Hill as headliner, along with Mötorhead. Lauryn Hills band was absolutely fantastic! 14 man band! One of the best bands I've ever experienced live.
Mötorhead made me deaf for a week. My company's pa, which was large enough to cater for about 5-8000 people, was in its entirety used as SIDEFILLS on stage for Mötorhead!

Hope it’s better than when I saw him last year

I love his stuff but he had started merging his songs and playing shorter versions

I have seen in on a few occasions and you never know what you are going to get, he is either brilliant or on occasions comes across as he does not give a damn. When he is on it he is brilliant on other occasions not as good.

However when he is on it he is one of the best i have seen.

I am not sure he has one to be honest, always reminds me of someone who at times does not enjoy what he is doing. Chuck Berry was the same, he played two nights at a mate of mines club back in the 70's.

The first night he played for 30 minutes and then just walked off ( he was booked to do a hour), however the second night he played for two hours and bought the house down.

Was at the Paul weller concert in Edinburgh on Thursday night, not a big fan but the wife is. Great concert but the crowd was full of clams, so self involved.
Then coming home through Glasgow yesterday and it was rammed with kids going to TRNSMT, yea gods, WTF is the world coming too?
Lycra was not invented for Scotland.
