Manager Sack Watch 2014/15

good fudging GHod, what is wrong with them!

that can't be real, a championship side wouldn't be stupid enough to actually sack a coach like mclaren

No wonder the Derby board are thinking of sacking him after such a disastrously sexy end to their season, anyone would think that McClaren had his eyes on the England job!

BBC Sport - Steve McClaren: Derby County head coach still in charge
Steve McClaren is still Derby County head coach but his future remains uncertain, BBC Derby Sport reports.

The 54-year-old met chief executive Sam Rush for talks on Thursday and there were rumours McClaren had been sacked.

The meeting had been brought forward following Derby's failure to reach the Championship play-offs and growing unrest at board level about McClaren's link to the manager's job at Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

McClaren has two years left on his contract, but discussions are ongoing.

It seems increasingly unlikely McClaren will stay in charge but no final decision is expected before the weekend.

The Rams were leading the Championship in late February but won just two of their final 13 games and missed out on the play-offs on the final day of the campaign, when they lost 3-0 at home to Reading.

Sheffield United sack Nigel Clough for failing to win promotion.

these situations always appear to be really harsh, but i wouldnt be surprised if the manager made promotion promises to the board at the start of the season. in which case, a sacking could be understandable

Di Matteo has resigned as Schalke manager.

Whoever was in charge at Watford has been sacked, despite winning promotion, as they start looking for their FIFTH manager in 10 months.

I'm sure it was reported in the last couple of days that Di Matteo was SACKED by Schalke, no?

Why did the Watford guy not agree to stay on?.. Was it his or the club that decided that?
