I don't think he has it either, it's easy to send pictures of lions and say the right things, if he wants to win trophies he needs to get properly fit and start scoring the proper number of goals for his ability again.

Also think throwing yourself into stupid fouls is not desire but sheer stupidity. Want to see more of that Italian dark arts stuff rather then charging around.

Maybe, maybe not, but we both know he has the ability to be a winner with the right players around him.
 
Someone needs to have a word with Kane about ridiculous long range free kick attempts. Lord knows I love the man but it's a bit cringe seeing him step up to a free kick because it's obvious he's going to blast it. Has he scored another one than the Villa effort that went in due to an odd deflection rather than being a decent strike?

I know him spaffing a set piece wasn't the be all and end all yesterday but you've got to fix the fixable things one at a time and it seems a good place to start. Odd that we don't have a decent free kick taker in the squad now Eriksen has left.

I remember he learnt how to do the Ronaldo dipping style technique about 5 years ago and had a couple decent attempts. For the last fews years though he has rarely been close.
Would be better offer off just letting GLC clip it in to the box. We don't have anyone that can take a good free kick anymore.
 
I’d be perfectly happy if he left end of season. He’s too good for where we are now as a club. We’re brick. He will always be in the top goal scorers list. He’s given us his time so unlike others, I won’t think he’s a traitor for up she leaving if he does.

FWIW I think he is going to score tons still in the right set up, and it kills me to say it but he would have a laugh at Man U.

Not for me
neves is a quality footballer but not a DM
We also need Kane now more than ever
I’m fact I’d sell most of them other than Kane, Son, Steve and Lo Celso
Everyone else IMO could be sold with no detriment to the quality of the squad

I’m with you. But there is one big problem.

We don’t have a specialist dead ball/direct free kick taker after selling Trippier and Eriksen (his numbers weren’t great either).

I assume they must train and practice and H must come out on top but I probably prefer Son from what I’ve seen from the 25 yard range.

Pinching those relatively cheap goals from soft free kicks a few times a season can really influence games and add points/momentum (think JWP for Southampton again us last season).

We seem to have solved it from corners with GLC (good delivery nicked us a goal against West Ham) but we are nowhere near from direct free kicks and it’s another piece of bad planning around the squad.

Yeah I'm not against that. What I meant (and probably didn't make clear) is that there is no recognised specialist by the team. So it just seems random on who steps up.

Well one thing is for sure he is nowhere near the player he was a couple of seasons back, now that could be down to the system changing, players regressing like Toby ( who was always playing him long ball to run onto), Ericksen who could read our players better then anyone and him and Dele being on the same train of thought.

Could be down to opposing players/ managers seeing his strengths and closing them down. Whatever the reasons he has not shown his ability like he used too and to be honest i struggle to see him fitting into our set up right now. One thing is for sure Jose has to try and make the best of his talent.

I think his strengths don’t suit our game
He is a box player like Poyet used to be
Comes alive and has an impact on that area
Everywhere else is is almost a functional player
His passing range isn’t massive (he is very one footed) but his work rate is very good
He is still quality but needs the system that suits him

Hense why i said i do not know how he would fit in our structure as it stands.
