Basing the take up etc in Isreal, this seems unlikely - and even if there is the most at risk at vaccinated.

I really wonder if this mess might hurt our plans for getting the manager of our choice, they might want to stay clear. I guess it depends how quickly it blows over.

Great news that is looks like the whole idea has failed, come on Levy and do the right thing and pull us out as well.

    Ahh

Now to go back to how things were, when football was about competing and every club having the same resources and Sky and not monopolising the game. When it was all about what's best for the fans.

    I miss last week.

I’m convinced city and Chelsea have only pulled out to stay in this seasons CL
Amazingly the UEFA press release was timed perfectly to coincide with city’s

Its very strange, surely they would have known there would be a backlash?

On the official club website on my phone I can no longer find any news articles on the ESL.

I told them we already got one
Cue spacegoating, recriminations and a lot of "we didn't really want to sign up but they persuaded us/we felt we had to" spinning to minimise reputational damage.

e.g Pat Nevin on BBC website "I'm not even mildly surprised - it didn't look like Chelsea wanted to get on that train but they didn't want to be left at the station."

and Dan Roan (presumable from a source): "Chelsea and City were not drivers of this plan, they were the last to sign and feared being left behind."

I hope our spinning is better than our league form.

If we don't manage our exit from this debacle well I worry that it may really cost us on several fronts - reputationally and financially included.

Surely there are going to be some significant lawsuits flying about? A lot of money will have been spent setting this all up. Or will everyone just walk away and forget it ever happened.

Dan Roan did say Liverpool, Woolwich and United were the main drivers of it from an English perspective. Any surprise the US owned clubs most wanted the US sports model?

    Thanks. #jokewasmissed

So - as I still have all the old contacts from when I used to be on here allllll the time, I've got in touch with the club to get clarification of what our position is, and why.

It seems to me, as now there is a rumour Barca (a fan owned club) are about to withdraw too, that this will all be over by Friday and then the recriminations can actually start. Expect a ban from European competition for next season for all clubs concerned I reckon.

It'll all be over by the morning. Doesnt really matter who pulls out 5 mins before another

As for lawsuits, potentially there could be reasons we could sue Man C or cheatski or others, but none of us have seen the docs...

It will be very interesting to see how they spin it if it all collapses, as it appears it will at the moment.

There are a lot of egos involved and maybe a tendency to view these types of 'initiatives' through the lens of winners and losers. I don't see the UK clubs willing to suffer a narrative of, to quote The Mail, 'the Shameless Six' for long -- so I anticipate some super 12 infighting/ blame appropriating.
