I don't know why anyone should be surprised. The press are constantly cattle-prodding all the working-class Tories in the 'right' direction. People are so used to it they hardly notice any more, I suppose, although plenty are hypersensitive about lack of reportage or bias against Spurs in the media.

As bad as these are the pun ‘Sterling sinks to a new low’ did make me smile.

He’s made a valid point onthe articles and the Chelsea fans being banned will be a step in the right direction, I’m sure the same fans have cheered many goals by their black players and had a black fan next to them who they’d surely hug and celebrate goals with so I’m really not sure how their tiny minds work.

BT Sport pundit Rio Ferdinand branded Emirates Marketing Project defender a “liability at the top level” in off-air comments accidentally circulated during Saturday’s shock 2-0 defeat against Chelsea.

Ferdinand was reviewing footage of the first half at Stamford Bridge alongside retired Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole and former Emirates Marketing Project defender Nedum Onuoha when he singled out Walker’s positioning in the lead-up to N’Golo Kante’s opening goal for criticism.

The comments were not intended for broadcast, but one Twitter user watching the match on a stream managed to catch them and subsequently shared them on social media.

“Look at Kyle Walker, sleeping,” Ferdinand said as he and Cole watched a replay of Chelsea’s first goal, during which Willian managed to steal a march on the City right-back. “Look at Kyle Walker.

“That's why England – if he plays - he'll always be a liability at the top level.”

Cole replied: “I'm with you. I'm not saying that though because his mate comes to the gym!

“Everyone talks about this Emirates Marketing Project team being perfect, they’re not perfect. They will gift you that. They will give you that quick attack because Kyle Walker is playing as a winger.”

Ferdinand then said: “You always know that you will get an opportunity against them, but you have to be clinical like they were today. If you've got the b*******.”

Cole rounded off the analysis by concluding: “And that's why the good teams can hurt them because they've got players like [Eden] Hazard who can find that pass, but they get away with it against other teams.”

Chelsea took the lead well against the run of play when Kante fired past Ederson after a dominant City had been caught out by a rapid counter-attack, and David Luiz sealed Pep Guardiola’s first Premier League defeat of the season when he rose highest to nod in Hazard’s inviting corner in the second half.

The result saw Liverpool leapfrog City to end the weekend on top of the table by a single point, while Chelsea kept Arsenal at bay in fourth place while closing to within eight points of the leaders.

If we don't win anything, then I hope they win the quadruple. Not because I really want success for them, but because it would just make a mockery of it all.

"Lifestyle app"? Isn't Tinder basically a simple way to find someone to shag?

Anyways, love the new thread title. Hate what's happening to football.

As do I, not because I don't despise the fact that City has gone from a respectable middling football club to a complete and utter dirty sell out, but because I know with the amount of money they have they will be successful regardless of whether I like them or not.

If there' a trophy we aren't going to win then I hope they 'win' it. It's not like it actually means anything anyway. Whenever I see Chelsea or City 'win' a trophy I treat it as if there was no winner declared that year.

Sheik-ing them down? Nice turn of phrase, but there's more to consider in this investigation.

Like, if UEFA were to find them guilty and actually live up to their recent sabre-rattling comments and ban EMP from Europe, wouldn't the Premier League and FA now have to consider whether the owners fit the description of 'fit and proper'?

Would they be willing to impose domestic sanctions? Points deductions? Demotion to lower league, a la Juve in Calciopoli? Transfer bans?

Might the league even consider ordering the owners to divest themselves of the club? Extreme, to be sure, but what a message to send out. And should a conviction occur, does that mean fifth place this year is into CL? Would second place now be awarded the PL title?

UEFA appear to be keen to pursue this because it's a recently empowered English club, playing in league that financially dwarfs much of what else goes on in Europe. A conviction would be a real boost to UEFA's image. It would be a very fashionable statement to make and put a shot across the bows of other pretenders like PSG - or anticipated upstarts like Zenit St. Petersburg - to govern themselves accordingly. And unlike some of the more pedigreed clubs around Europe, Emirates Marketing Project are a comparatively soft target. They wouldn't get a lot of sympathy in England.

Then they could turn to the whibbling, withering, intellectually impoverished Italian clubs squealing for hand outs and hand ups that they're working to restore competitive balance.
