That video. Awful. Cretins being cretinous with a simpering yet manipulative cretin.
Amazing how few of those footballers could manage to dribble too much rock salt down their forearms.

I’d like to see the vegetarian version.

Alan titchmarsh slicing up the worlds biggest marrow on a table with a shovel?

Monty don launching 4 spuds 100ft in the air and catching them on prongs of a garden fork.

Charlie dimmock bouncing Brussels sprouts off her arse.

    What price that?

The guy grew up tinkle poor. Had an opportunity and took it.

It’s a good news story as far as I’m concerned.

I say good luck to him.

I don't think it's a great news story that he's spending it on social media celebrities instead of proper chefs.

That said, I approve hugely of his wine choice.

I worked in a top-end hotel when I was 19 over a summer, the Royal Horse Guards Hotel. Great experience. You'd get toffs who'd ask the world, sometimes showing off to business clients. "Can you get me a tap beer from the bar on the other side of the hotel" etc etc. When they signed the check they'd often appreciate your servitude with a chunky tip - £20 say. I never had the heart to tell I would never see it.

The managers creamed off the tips. I didn't mind. The middle age managers didn't earn a lot and the whole experience was something to behold: dingdongensian. In the labyrinth under the great hotel was steam and laundry carts, waiters with silver trays of food, rats! and all sorts of con tricks and shenanigans. Lower-ranked staff were systematically abused. Chefs would beat the fuk out anyone they didn't like, but also cook you a slap-up lunch when happy. I didn't need the tips, and will always appreciate the experience.

Also, one steak between four, and no starter? PSG can’t be paying him properly.

    I assume that's not Poch's bill?

And that DTA's poor boy made good story is the social media chef, not Poch?

This thread is as confusing as spending 11 quid on a Red Bull.

I still expect him (chef, not Poch) to turn out to be a Turkish comedian who's been sending up all the fame hungry desperados.

I've never had Petrus - (at least, not knowingly. But seeing it on a wine list always reminds me of the people sat behind me in a Parisian restaurant who ran out of "drinkable" wine at a party, so they had to open all the Petrus for their guests. That's a hell of a party.

Fair play to him, if people want to buy overpriced steak then up to them. Why not take advantage and build your brand up and make money along the way, he's probably loaded

I'm more concerned about the insult to the art form of cooking that these social media "chefs" create.

Then again, there will always be people willing to take money from stupid people and plenty of stupid people willing to give it to them.
