A loan for the last six months of his contract might be possible but he's going to be looking at clubs fighting relegation or in the Championship.
Pay off the last 6 months of his contract, get rid, and if he has mental health issues make sure that he is getting help.
It is doing nobody any good having him around. It has turned bad in the last couple of years but he was a good servant for
most of the years he was here and a 6 month pay off for all those years of service is fair enough.
It might help him make a new start and enjoy the last few years of football he has left rather than waste it playing with
the under 23s.
