Ok, I’d intimated in the post before that few players are successful in both leagues, perhaps due to different technical and physical demands.
Conte is a good manager but he may not be the right manager for Christian.

I was just having another pop at Eriksen, who I don’t think there is a “right manager” for, as he seems hellbent on wasting his talent, which is exceptional.

I've always wondered that a free(ish) transfer may not be in the best interests of a player, because the club might think it's worth a punt even if they don't really want him, as opposed to paying a big fee that shows they really do.

Wasn't Conte the manager when they bought him? This seems very strange. It's hardly a case that Arsenal or another English club will take him and Inter acted as an intermediary?
I feel for the lad. It ended badly here and I didn't like how he carried on at times but I still have good time for him.
