    In that case I'd be tempted to offer PL win bonuses and a big PL survival bonus for the players as well. Not that they deserve it or should need it to put in an effort, but we have to do whatever we can to stay up now. Then a big clear out in the summer. Get the right players in. No messing around.

    I know it’s technically correct, but I think a red + penalty is a too harsh a punishment in these situations. A yellow + penalty would suffice, IMO. Still an incredibly stupid foul to make. He should know a red card in that situation could be disastrous.
