Ratings v Chelsea

Mauricio Taricco
Doing it now as it's 2:45am and I can't be arsed to wait till the end.

Cudicini - 4. Poor. Why would you leave out your number 1 keeper in an FA Cup Semi?

Walker - 4. Poor. Relied on his pace too much to get back, and was caught out. Shocking crossing.
Gallas - 5. Bullied by Drogba and never looked comfortable.
King - 6. Pick of the defenders and got some critical blocks in.
BAE - 4. Pretty awful both defensively and going forward.

Lennon - 5. Had a 15 minute spell where looked threatening, apart from that anonymous.
Parker - 6. Our Man of the Match. Tried his hardest.
Modric - 5. Poor again. Looked either tired or like he couldn't be arsed.
Bale - 5. Lots of running into dead ends. He needs to realise he's not going to beat everyone by sheer pace.

VdV - 5. Subdued game, unlucky with the pass that hit the post.
Adebayor - 4. How did he not get on the end of the pass from VdV? Nice hold-up play, but seriously needs to be better at finishing

Parker and van der Vaart for me are the only ones from that game who deserve any sort of praise

Cudicini - 5 (only really at fault for their 4th goal)

Walker - 3
Gallas - 4
King - 6 (pick of the bunch)
BAE - 2 (awful - imagine the reaction if that had been Lee Young-Pyo playing like that)

Lennon - 5 (good 1st half, not so good second)
Parker - 6
Modric - 5
VDV - 6
Bale - 5

Ade - 5

Defoe - 4
Sandro - 10

Harry - 3

Cudicini 4 - I can understand why Harry honoured the agreement, but I do wonder whether Brad would've stopped two of those goals....
Walker 3 - No comment
Gallas 6 - I don't blame him for Drogba turning him. Drogba is an excellent player and he has turned centre halves like that all his career. The bottom line is it wasn't so much Gallas's fault, as being out done by a superior player.
King 6 - Played better than he did against Norwich
Ekotto 3 - No comment
Lennon 6 - Tried hard but was wasteful
Modric 5 - Way too quiet
Parker 8 - The only one who really seemed to give a brick. Tackled like a demon and an excellent ball into Ade that lead to the goal
Bale 6 - Gets bumped up slightly for the goal, and to be fair he also filled in a few times for when Ekotto was walking back
VDV 6 - Thought in the first half he looked our most dangerous attacking threat, but he really tailed off in the second half
Ade 3 - Last game for Spurs? Yes please.

I really feel for Parker. Only one with any gonad*s at all in this tottenham side. fudging pansies the rest of them. No heart at all.

Adebayor is the most over-paid player in England, van der Vaart by far the most over-rated. Parker, King and Bale did fairly well.

Cudicini - 2. Was useless in the air, when commanding his box, when guarding his near post, when closing down players...useless.
Walker - 3. macaronic, inept performance from the man who watches videos of Dani Alves before bed everyday. Well, today you played like Benny Alves, Dani's limbless war veteran brother.
King - 4. Tried, at least. Was slightly better than Norwich.
Gallas - 3.5. Mehhhh. Old, creaky, was bound to happen.
Benny - 4. Afro didn't help.
Lennon - 4. Tried hard to make things happen, but had zero composure or killer instinct when it mattered.
Parker - 7. Hero. Fought tirelessly and made the through ball for Bale's goal.
Modric - 3. Trying to impress Roman, Luka?
Bale - 4. Goal. Other than that, the highlight was when he ran a full 80 yards with the ball, all guns blazing, before letting it eventually go over the line for a goal-kick.
VdV - 3. Eh?
Ade - 4. Occasionally gave a damn.

Subs-
Defoe - N/A
Sandro - N/A

Harry; Just...go. Please, just go. At the end of the season, leave. Maybe I'll change my mind, I don't know. But now? After ripping our squad apart in the January window, leaving us with no cover? After running our players into the ground with your lack of rotation? After standing cluelessly on the touchline while being out-thought and out-maneuvered by manager after manager, from Pulis to Lambert to Di Matteo? After practising no set plays, no set pieces, no moves on the training ground, after doing absolutely nothing by way of pre-match preparation except telling our players to go out and play?

But most importantly of all, after not learning from our mistakes last year?

fudge off to england, if they'll have you.

I don't know why Carlo is being spacegoated. Probably should've done better with the 4th, yes that's right the FOURTH goal we conceded, but other than that made two excellent stops.

Cudicini 5 Cant do a lot about some of the goals but to concede 5 is a lot, shaky distribution at times. Got to play friedel just for the confidence of the back four.
Walker 4 Poor
Gallas 6 Best defender
King 5 slow
Assou ekotto 3 Lost the ball a lot, not good enough for big games like that im afraid
Parker 6 Good first half, looked tired in the second
Modric 5 Good first half
Lennon 5 A couple of good runs but no end product and thats what matters
Bale 6 Scored, a couple of good runs
Van der Vaart 4 Not good enough to start at the moment
Adebayor 3 How did not score in the first half i'll never know, turning point in the game, and why does he round off the keeper? I was a big fan of him but ive had enough

I think the same.

1st goal = unstoppable.
2nd goal = two brilliant saves leading up to it, didnt cross the line
3rd goal = brilliant finish from Ramires
4th goal = the only one he probably should have saved
5th goal = great finish again

I'm as wound up as you and anyone else but VDV can't be considered as overrated surely?

My biggest complaint against Adebayor, is that he always overdoes it! Often there is a simple little first time ball to be played...but noo, he just hast to hang onto a little longer. Same with VDV, but not to the same extent.

Should have done better with Drogbas goal as wonderful as it was. Lampards was shocking positioning.

Didn't feel like a semi. Not even close to a hard on (sorry). We started okay, keeping safe, playing a more cautious game than usual, and were playing on the break.

Failings today:

1. Not having steady CBs. Gallas looked nervous out there.
2. Changing from 451 to 442, when a change to 352 was the right move

Was going to include not playing Friiedel, but I don't think that was crucial.

No one was saving that Drogba shot, what a load of brick.

His positioning was poor. That near side should be covered. Gallas should do better too. I'm not taking away from what Drogba, but I'm sure any keeper would feel the same.

Really? I think he's quite average and doesn't fit our team at all. I've thought so since he first arrived at the club, and it baffles me that I seem to be of a minority with that opinion.
