So, what happened today?

1st gold for Team GB in the swimming, Peaty retains

Adam Peaty is the first British swimmer to retain their Olympic title after winning Team GB's first gold medal of Tokyo 2020 with victory in the men's 100m breaststroke.

The fastest man to ever compete in breaststroke was a huge hope for gold and he hit the expectations of a nation, stopping the clock in 57.37 seconds to become a double Olympic champion.

With eight world titles, 16 European titles, the 16 fastest times in history and having broken the world record on five occasions, Peaty's standing in the pool was never in doubt

I got a job offer today
Starting a 6 month contract on August 23rd
Really happy with who it's with and what I'll be doing and the day rate is brilliant
It's got a real good chance of being extended too
It's a real relief as it's been a frustrating few months but we got there in the end

After some potential advice if possible and thanks in advance
The contract is inside IR35 so it comes with some benefits I'll get money paid in to my pension (I'll obviously carry on paying in monthly myself too), basic holiday and sick pay too

However benefits like the Death in Service (10 times my salary currently) I won't have when I leave my current job
Should I just bump up my life insurance to cover the above ?

Anything else I should look to get as a contractor ??

Surprisingly for the culture war desperate torygraph, that’s not an accurate headline, and why should anyone need permission to declare their chosen identity.

Declare all they want. But they are talking using toilets, accomodation and changing rooms. I'm sure there might be some parents who don't want their daughters getting changed or sleeping with boys.

Children are confused enough as it is. Let them grow up then decide what they want to be.

Maybe a reason why children are confused is trying to fit into gender stereotypes/distinctions in which they don't feel they fit.

When i was 4 years old i wanted to be a trex. What gender stereotypes/distinctions are they meant to fit in at 4? That they have to pee standing up?

Did Legoland last week, that was the same, they sell way too many of those jump the queue tickets now, not worth having when everybody else does too.
