Jose Mourinho - SACKED

Maybe
I’ve said countless times his turgid coaching in the last 5 years win more trophies than we as a club had in 20 plus years
I’m not making apologies for him but agin their facts

You've said it countless times and each time it was as pointless as the last.

I think the evidence outside perhaps Italy suggests otherwise. Football is more weighted towards progressive/attacking teams, due to changes in offside laws, giving benefit of doubt in offside situations to attackers etc.

Jose seems fast becoming George Graham because after lots of success playing mainly defensive football, he doesn't seem to have adapted his ways and i think if he leaves us before xmas that will be it for him at the top level of the game; he really is in the last chance saloon with us career-wise

it's cyclical, there is a shift and correction every so often

for example, we are moving back to no benefit of the doubt (which was never an official law) to exact measurements for offside

defending is football too, nobody wants to see games like liverpool and leeds every week, goals need to have value

Yes, its rare that teams nowadays can succeed by playing dull football. The Leicester title winning team was defensive and played on the break, but there's not many like that in the major leagues or European football now

And Leicester, Wolves, Sheff Utd proved last season that you can perform well and play good football without having mega stars

but that's ok then?
gonad*s, we were disjointed and played like strangers.
Jose needs to start walking the walk, today was heartbreaking but probably not sadly that surprising.

no, but it's arrogant to say we should always beat Everton, they are not West Ham, they coach their players too

you have to earn your wins against teams like that

we were dogbrick, compared to what these players have shown before though yes, and Jose needs to fix it

Yeah Liverpool fixed their team by sorting out the defence

Haha, i know your views on 'too many goals in a match':D

I beg to differ, but i also appreciate the defending is an art. Nothing wrong with being defensively strong, after all the best (i.e. successful) and most attractive teams to watch are almost always very string defensively.

The problem with and Jose now is: when teams park the bus and have low-defensive blocks against US, we cannot cope in terms of breaking THEM down (imo to be able to is also a sign of a good well-coached team...)

yes we've struggled, we need more from our attackers, I think we have tactical issues there, but also attitude ones

I don't think there are attitude reasos at all. I just think Jose's coaching is found wanting; i don;t think apart from Moyes/Pulis ball he actually knows how to coach attacking moves now.

Apart from swinging in a cross from wide, what are actually our signature attacking moves now? I just don;t really se much and it's not a case of attitude rather it looks more like players arent being coached on that front (and it's all based on randomness and whatever THEY can create individually)

I think this has been what Jose is about (i.e. not really coaching attacking moves) for many years now, hence why he rarely gets the bets out of attacking central midfielders...

But we HAVE tried that before: AVB, some may say Santini...

I agree that ENIC have tried all sorts and ultimately the club's failing is down to them (e.g. what on earth would make them think Jose would achieve better with us than at his last two stints at megaclubs AND still not act any differently to before, e.g. being quicker and spending more in the transfer market)?

This is our most barren run as a club and it's come under their stewardship..i agree that if even Jose cannot do anything under their ownership then the focus will be SQUARELY AND UNQUESTIONABLY on them..

It's not ENIC. It's our shambolic recruitment policy. We have bought numerous players and spent not inconsiderable money. Since Son, which player has improved us?
