Lankshear is not an eye catching player, he's not fast, he doesn't dribble with the ball, he can hold the ball up, he's a goal scorer, he has a natural instinct to be in the right place at the right time. If you farting about out wide you limit his threat, put it in the box first time and he'll score.
He's not particularly good at holding the ball up from what I've seen. He is a good goalscorer but every other aspect of his game needs a lot of work.

Holding the ball and those other aspects are skill that can be learnt and improved with playing... which is rarely the case for being at the right place at the right time, which he clearly does instinctively.

He's still a kid who is just beginning to learn the game. I was very sceptical of sending him to a Championship club gunning for promotion who had just also signed an established striker as well.... and my fears were realised. He should have been loaned to a good League 1 side where he would have started regularly and would had to cope with lower quality defenders and then to a Championship this year.

Yep, better to play games in League One than sit on the bench in the Championship.
I wonder if some could go to Scottish Prem and get a rhythm.
