Xavi Simons

I thought Xavi was superb vs Brentford; he got the better of their midfield and with 1 yard of space he could pop off a pass and receive it and cause chaos and create the goals.

I thought Xavi got hammered by Forest, every time he tried something he was either stopped or scuffed it and just lost the ball way too much. Probably down to the brilliance of Forest's press.

Probably true of most games we've played; when CHE / ARS / NFO pressed us we couldn't deal with it. When we managed to get a foothold and start playing vs BRE etc we looked a lot better.

Anyway, here is a fairly boring and very long interview with the immensely articulate Wayne Rooney and his 2 co-presenters who try to twist his mumblings into actual content

They always had an extra man in the press (forest) whereas Brentford didn’t press at all
