Is this guy actually any good? Watched him against Bayern and he did not look anything special whatsoever. Game totally passed him by and he struggled on the ball. The only other time I've seen him was against England and yes he scored a banging goal (that was him right i haven't checked?) but again...didn't seem anything special in that game which was probably the only game in the entire tournament where I thought England looked relatively untroubled in midfield and defence which wasnt an endorsement!
 
Coming to us first is the key to why he won't come, now opens up the options for others to impress, people now seemingly know the hand we have dealt. Oh well

If you go through the thread... and i know stats are not the be all and all that but his offensive stats are actually better than Eze's and the's an interesting chart of through balls and creativity in which he scores in the top 5%...

You said twice in the same post he didn't seem anything special, that sounds like judgement to me :D

He is quality, would be better than anything I'd hoped we would get in tbf. Whether we do or don't sign him, I'm not going to knock Levy for trying to get him in if we made a genuine offer - always going to have some form of competition from big teams for a player of his calibre....

Well I will reserve judgement if he signs. I didn't have a particularly great impression of Kudus either but he has impressed me in his games for us so far.

Although it very much feels similar to the Eze situation in that these huge links to us seem to have surfaced really rapidly and publically just as his move to Chelsea (which seemed set in stone all summer) seems to be losing momentum. We are being used like a b*tch this window.

Haha well no, but given he clearly wants Chelsea over us and now he highly likely pays them a visit next, I mean you would when here, then it's likely not us he is going to be choosing, with this deal specifically.

We don't know if Chelsea are going for him or not. They've just signed Garnacho.

I am not sure Chelsea are officially 'in' right now though. Garnacho just across their line, and the Barca lad being tracked...of course, it only takes a dither or a phone call. I'd say it's accurate to believe that if they came in they could financially just drop some stupid contract in front of the agent and that would be that...let's hope the timing of this moment works in our favor for once!

Depends if the player stalls on our offer or takes it. He msy have a view of waiting to see what Chelsea end up doing similar to what Eze did.
