Would relegation be that bad?

Relegation would clearly be bad for the club....and as fans we will all do what we can at the remaining home games, to support the team... but if it happens, I'm pretty chilled. Eventually we will stumble on a winning combination of manager and players who can win promotion and then form the basis of the future. I've been a fan for over 65 years, ain't going to stop because we are in a different division, and would rather have a reset than put up with the soap opera we have seen since Poch left, and the appalling on-field mediocrity we have seen at the Lane in the last two years.

Agree to an extent. I think if we didn’t bounce straight back up, tjhough, it wouldn’t take long until we’re in a Sheffield Wednesday situation.

I went to a Championship game
today. They didn’t have VAR.

The ref missed all manner of brick and gave a number of cards erroneously, not to mention a clear foul that would have ruled out a goal in a proper game and turned this into a victory rather than a draw.

How can you play football without VAR.

It was a ridiculous experience.

Found this in EFL regs, how many of our fans would still travel , would it still be just as hard to get an away ticket.

35.7.1 Each Club must make provision for at least 2,000 visiting supporters at every home match or such number as represents 10% of the Club’s certified capacity, if less than 2,000

Yeah…West Ham have fight and we have…nothing. I don’t care if injured players are coming back. We’re conspiring to lose in the most insane ways.

I agree...but I still, still cling to the hope that we are at our most injured and absolute bricktiest yet will STILL go into tomorrow's game out of the bottom three, however narrow the margin...

The biggest hope for me genuinely is @DeanoAustin’s point that to get relegated it means we would have had to be utterly dreadful for basically 75% of this season. Derby 08 level bad. And for a squad of our quality something like that will have never happened.

The hope is that it looks bleak right now but there’s one more turn to go. West Ham can’t sustain the revival, or Leeds continue to fall. Something that coincided with our players remembering how to play again,

But right now it is fudging bleak. And that’s the issue for me. It’s not just that we’re losing. The manner is just ridiculous, the margin should often he higher, and make amateur level mistakes because we have absolutely no cohesion whatsoever.

I think it will be harder for most away games. Lower allocations and lots of new grounds for many fans.
Yes there will be fans who choose not to renew if we get relegated but I don’t think that will apply to many of those who regularly go to away games (through the official route) now.

Well, I for one thimk West Ham can defintely sustain this revival. Helped by the fact that they improbed the squad during the window.
