World Cup 2026 - Qualifiers

I always think perceptions are harder when you develop and start earlier. Troy is only 23 now. If he had appeared as a 19 or 20 year old then everything would be feeling about right with his career. He was visible when he was 16. Ditto with Dane. Ditto with Moore. People just want to jump into the pass or fail thing too early with the ones who start youngest.

Not an attitude problem, more that he was hanging around with the son of a major gangland figure, one of the main figures in the Kinahan gang.
Was often pictured on holidays with him.
Yep
I remember it being discussed but a lot of Eire fans on here
They are a nasty family to be involved with of course
But for me what stood out was when he went On loan to MK they loved him and he was playing wide right
Xmas in the Netherlands when he went there
We loan players out but don’t seem to want to give then time when they return

Anything but a 9-0 loss or more against Italy will put Norway in the World Cup for the first time in 28 years!
Really excited to what this team can achieve. We have devestaing firepower with Haaland, Sørloth, Nusa, Bobb, Ødegaard, very sturdy options in midfield with Sander Berge as the engine, and a working back line. On paper this team can beat anyone, and they're scoring for fun with 33-4 in GD after 7 games.

Lack of tournament experience is the biggest weakness I guess, but a QF should be achievable, and when you get there, everything can happen.
It's a pretty similar team to what Croatia had in 2018, with a team built around some world class players. Hopefully we can do what they did!

Heard a few people talk about Norway in pods and the questions is the keeper and defence
I know nothing about those players but the other half of the team would work for most countries for sure

Nyland is a decent goalkeeper. Not really an issue. Full backs are pretty decent too, in Ryerson of Dortmund and Möller Wolfe of Wolves, and their back ups are similar level. The main issue is CB's, and mainly that neither Ajer nor Heggem has real pace. But they've worked well so far, but might struggle against better teams with pacey forwards.

Goalie has been a big question mark, mostly due to lack of game time at club level. Think he's playing regularly now, but we've had many much better goalies in the past. Defence is a bit mixed. I think both Ajer (Brentford) and Ryerson (Dortmund) are quality, less so with the other half of the defence.

Admittedly I haven't watched as much of Norway as I should, but we looked pretty solid at the back against mediocre opposition against Estonia.

Offensively we're lethal, which is obviously how we'll achieve any kind of success next summer. If our frontline + Ødegård stays injury free, I think Norway can do really well next summer. Like @Kandi1977 says, a QF is within reach.

Extraordinary interview.
Major goosebumps, shades of Poch in Amsterdam. Really happy for the lad.
