With a fully fit squad, what's your starting 11/formation?

Kulusevski managed average 2 key passes per match last season whilst Maddison achieved 1.3. Kulusevski also had a better defensive record. If I remember rightly, Kulusevski created a lot of chances that weren’t taken by our attacking players.

You can’t quantify what they provided simply through G/A.

Maddison did have a good season but I prefer Kulusevski and think Simons is the future especially with how much he works off the ball.

Can debate until the cows come home about who is better, nice options to have regardless. Point is, it's not Maddison being injured making him better in people's minds - he's simply one of, if not our most creative player.....

You’re right, and I think we have a deep squad of talented players just most of them are out injured. I think people often forget how good some of our players are but if we had both Maddison and Kulusevski fit then I think we’d be in a considerably better place for it. Much in the same way that Solanke’s return to the first team has offered a significant boost.

Their xG and xA numbers were fairly similar last season, I'd say that points towards your argument being true.

Both can play as a 10, both last season sometimes operated more as an 8, both are mostly seen as attacking and creative midfielders. Other than that and being good they could hardly be more different as players. Difficult to compare the relative importance of such different players imo. But for me while I rate both and both have been sorely missed this season Maddison offers significantly more of what we miss when he isn't there. Kulusevski can do the brilliant thing, but is very much high risk high reward. Maddison can do the brilliant thing while also being "safe" and one of few players you can give the ball to in a difficult situation and feel fairly secure that he's not going to lose it. He could drop deep and progress it, link play, receive it higher up. That made him vital to our ball progression. Kulusevski a better holdup player.

Simons has been anything but consistent so far for us and in terms of quality, on the whole has only shown it in flashes, certainly not matched either Kulu or Maddison in that regard nor in terms of output. He may well grow in to that player but in terms of on-paper quality he has it all to prove here and i'd say his inclusion is based on potential. That said i have him in the XI off the left, as GB said in a sort of Eriksen type role - I think given that both he & Maddison favour Center/Center-Left that the two of them together would work quite well.
 
Id actually sell Maddison this summer (providing Kulu has returned and is looking robust again). I think he's at that time that his value is still high, but it will rapidly decline. Id back Kulu and Simons as our two long term #10s and reinvest the Maddison money in a starting LW

Im not convinced that Maddison’s value would be that high based off a season on the injury table. We shouldn’t need any more money as we barely spent in January and it’s up to the owners to step up and be serious with player investment over the summer.

His value will be rock bottom after a missed season through injury - probably the worst possible time to consider selling him

GK - Vic (default option)
Back line - Porro, Romero, VDV, Udogie. For me Porro is a step above Spence
Midfield - Palhinha as DM that can drop back, the only question is 2 out of Gray/Bergvall/Gallagher
Attackers - Kulu is more effective than Kudus, Xavi is the future over Maddison. Solanke is default

More old school Spurs, 4-2-3-1 (3 of Gallagher/Bergvall, Xavi left, Kulu right), in the 2, Palhinha to drop back to cover FB's going forward.

That would still leave a bench of Kudus, Maddison, Bergvall, Odobert, Tel

He only has 1 year left on his deal.

Nice - Shows how many good options we have, not even room for Gray or Bergvall in the midfield. But we won't be playing this side together ever, least of all with Frank in charge :D....
 
A bit last decade arguing who’s better. Now more than ever it’s a squad game. Maddison is best in short spells anyway. Too many games and his performances drop imo. Physically he isn’t built for it. Technically he’s brilliant.

Management now is getting the most from a squad. And feeding in and taking players out at the right time. Something Ferguson cracked. He’d let’s players get into a rhythm and rotate after 10 or so games, which is the way to do it imo. Players like Kudus are only really good for 3-5 full sprints a game, and play them in every game and they break or performances will drop.

I’d play Kulu or Simons in the number 10. Maddison behind in midfield and use his passing ability. Kudus wide right. And atm Oder and Tel on the left. Solanke up top.

Gallagher and Gray seem quite similar, so would rotate them. Bergvall and Maddison could rotate playing in midfield. Sarr deserves to play too. But hard to get them all in.

Spence shades Poro, but they’ll rotate. The rest pick themselves.

Don't agree with that at all, Liverpool last season had their first choice 11 for most games and won the title.
This season Arsenal have done the same with minor rotating through injuries, look how well they're doing.
They both had/have systems that work for them and proven successful, more about dominating the opponent with your best 11 available as opposed to nullifying them.
