He's still only 21. A bit of inconsistency is to be expected. He needs more game time at this stage to help him develop that consistency. He's been pretty poor when he starts (I know I know what's the difference) he is wildly inconsistent.

It appears that at Palace now, you stand where you bloody want to get an ok view![]()
. The stewards are constantly blocking access to the lower bit and checking tickets. Tbh it wasn't sardine like as it looked like not everyone had bothered to make the trip. We were in good voice though.

Always had a soft spot for Palace and Selhurst, as my grandad was a BIG Palace fan, and took me to my first live games there when I was a kid. We used to sit in the stand opposite....it hasn't changed one bit![]()
The problem is that it looks to me as though RKM doesn't really want to play for us. I can't help but feel he isn't putting everything in. If he was properly motivated then I think he could be fantastic.Listen i know Richy on some form, but ultimately he was offside for both the goals and therefore, the stats show an assist but nothing more. RKM is a far better striker, pacy, dribbling, and a much better all round player.
I would rather see Odobert on the left starting, and RKM in the middle. I think any time you are picking Richy to start you are basically defending from the front and not attacking.
He is still a young player without much PL experience. I called him out as being a good option for us to sign a day or two before we signed him out of the blue but in that same post I said that I thought we should sign him but leave him at Burnley for a year to get more experience of English football. I still maintain that he would be a better play now if that had happened.I think there's been a change with him. It certainly looked like he had ability in the past BUT this season he has this confidence and belief he belongs.
I was worried that confidence can wain when the manager doesn't show similar confidence in you. Yesterday, showed his belief (in himself,) is still bubbling along. He simply just looks dangerous.

I have thought this, but then wondered if it's just more he just has that 'relaxed' playing style. Such players often get accused of not really caring etc and he did celebrate enthusiastically with Gray when he scored so maybe we are being a bit harsh on him here and it's just a case of it's simply not all coming off for him at the moment....Agree with both points here

Believe me...thats not row 48 where I was supposed to be standingBetter view than sokme get there for sure mate…yes…the old grounds carry such vibes…
Its strange I get that feeling as well, but it is possible its just the way he carries himself and his demeanor. The problem is that it looks to me as though RKM doesn't really want to play for us. What would one make of Chrissy Waddle, 3 months after signing these daysI have thought this, but then wondered if it's just more he just has that 'relaxed' playing style. How many games have we had an xG over 1?Muani is a skilful player, but he needs to step up. He hasn't scored or even got an assist in 11 league games, that's a scandalous return for someone with his ability.
We all know Richie's faults and would ideally like someone better all round, but of all our forwards he's about the only one who knows how to put the ball in the net on a fairly consistent basis....
Not many, our chance creation is poor which is obviously not his fault entirely. But he's missed some defent chances to score during his time here and considering Richi has 7 goals and 3 assists in the league, that's not enough of an excuse for him to have zero...How many games have we had an xG over 1?
Agreed. Said something similar to that earlier this season. Before he often seemed to set himself, take a second, then try to take on his man (also giving the opponent a chance to set himself), in the recent months he's looked way more direct. Just takes players on first time more often.I think there's been a change with him. It certainly looked like he had ability in the past BUT this season he has this confidence and belief he belongs.

Had he stayed at Burnley and had the same injury problems as he did here last season the amount of extra English football experience he would have gotten would have been limited. And had he not been out injured as much here last season he would imo both have gotten way more playing time here and currently most likely been further along. He is still a young player without much PL experience. I called him out as being a good option for us to sign a day or two before we signed him out of the blue but in that same post I said that I thought we should sign him but leave him at Burnley for a year to get more experience of English football. odobert needs more courage to attempt more take ons. he has the tools, but lacks the attitude and courage.
muani is a great example of someone young and working hard and unafraid of making mistakes.
