Depends how much you think we’ve overpaid
Depends what we get back
If Romero is sold for £40m and he is IMO a better player than Van Heck then there id say we overpaid by a lot… but then Van heck may be a great player here and justify the price
We have overpaid for tonali if they also sell Guimares for less because he is a better player IMO than tonali

Fernandes is a crazy fee for a player relegated back to back but his age and youth may show that is a value for money, more so if we recoup a huge chunk of that selling bergvall for example

So it’s all kind of relative

He is a better play on his day. Which is 1/3 when he does play, 1/5 including injuries.

Il take a JPVH 7.5/10 performance 38 games a season personally.

I get what your saying but personally I’d have Danso there because he can defend and can also pass ok, but that’s just me
We know PVH is backing the manager and ultimately that’s what’s needed
But that fee, with one year left was steep

Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, has a quote somewhere about how he originally overpaid the market valuation for all of the best investments he has ever made, including the Cowboys.

If you really want a specific player, then in the long term nobody will remember the extra 10-20% you paid to buy them if they turn out to be a difference maker.
And you won't know until their Spurs career is over, whether we overpaid or not.
