I got the same bundle after reading Old Country Music. My order was Three Little Kingdoms, Night Boat, Beatlebone. I’m sure any order would be great

I started reading Barry’s books based on this thread. Finished City of Bohane and am now halfway through Night Boat to Tangier.

Ray Bradbury turning in his grave. Why do the clams destroy the books?

They have consumed most of what is human-produced on the interweb at this point, so they need more 'humanity' to consume now that half the web is AI slop. To scan the books, they have to cut the spine off so the pages can be fed into the humanity-killing machine that is AI.

Just finished ‘A Place Apart’ by Dervla Murphy. Written in 1977/78, and the best book that I’ve ever read about Northern Ireland and The Troubles.
