Watching UK TV in Spain

So.
I have a friend in Spain who up until last night, used Filmon.TV. They have now barred UK TV unless you fork out 14.95 euros per month. Not horrendous I know, but no longer free.

Can anyone recommend an easy way to pick up UK channels in Spain?

He's pulling his hair out at the moment. He has Kodi, but likes the idea of watching live TV

a vpn service should work, i'm not up to date on what the cool kids use but i'm sure if he searches for that he'll find a solution

VPN easiest way to go nowadays tbh.

Decent router and you can get it set-up so that only the device connected to the tv uses the vpn and all others use your usual internet, if you dont need all to view the uk stuff.
