I'm well into it now. It's basically a newsfeed for people you actually give a fudge about hearing from. Recommended people to follow? I follow the sports journos. Loads of spurs players, fighters politics, comedians. It's great!!

I have twitter and have the likes of Thudd etc but what I do not get is

What is a retweet? What is a hash tag for?

Basically I dont know what the terminology used for twitter all mean. Anyone got a user guide to assist?

Hash tags can be for several things. Makes it easier to search for tweets on a particular subject. Sometimes used for humorous effect.

Example "today it's not raining for once" #weather will link your tweet with others commenting and using a similar hashtag.

That way if people search for 'weather' on twitter they will see your tweet linked to that hashtag.
