Troy Parrott

Possibly a lot less, Poch arrived just as Kane was breaking through and maybe Poch didn't know a great deal about him. Poch has now been here a while and has seen Parrot come through the youth ranks and like Shipp he may not be too averse to dropping him in to the senior team for a few games against "lesser" opponents.

He has been here a season so I wouldn’t say he has come through the ranks....

My question is, what is better for his development, 90 minutes for the U23's or 5 minutes for the first team?

While not just have him do both, have him in the Under 23 squad but occasionally have him on the first team bench or start him in the league cup if we draw a lower division team

I think that's sensible. He needs games, so a season the bench would be the worst outcome.

That would make sense. Also, the U23s have the Checkatrade trophy so that would also give him some competitive games (at least 3, depending on how we do?) against league one and/or league two teams.

With Llorente going to Roma. He is second choice out and out striker now.

Nothing has been confirmed officially*, could we requested a board rule that there is a cheeky allegedly / supposedly thrown in with rumored transfers cause it'd save a fruitless google (apart from finding out that the AS Roma official site has a section of various AS Roma playlists including a Bowie one and a 90s hip hop selection to boot).

Most who are on here in the summer are surely fairly experienced in the mysterious ways of the transfer market so to keep everything clear maybe we could not state things that may happen as things that have happened?

*If you are our new superstar ITK but I missed the memo I can only apologise and bow down to your superior knowledge

As for Parrott, I've liked what I've seen but as a few posters have eluded to, I think it's madness to go in to the season losing Ferny and essentially replacing him with someone without experience. Llorente was called upon often in times where we needed something to go our way, whilst T-roooooooooooooooy may well have a good head on his shoulders it's a lot of pressure. All it takes is either Kane / Son to be injured or suspended and we're down to few options which will make challenging on any front never mind all.

With Son and Moura being viable options whilst still getting match time I jut don’t see how we can have another out and out striker as 4th choice unless we actually rotated Kane to give them minutes. Every back up we’ve tried has always looked rusty and hesitant in front of goal. If Kane gets back to his old fitness levels the most a specialist CF will get is a low standard opponent cup game (even then Kane will possibly get a run out) or chucked on with ten minutes to to when the game plan has gone out of the window and we are in panic mode. The only solution we’ve found is the pacy player like Son or Moura who can also play AM. In the emergency scenario if wanting a target man to hit perhaps we can work in either Sanchez’s beast qualities and push him up Chris Samba style!

I quite like it. We also have Son and Lucas who can both do a job up front, so shouldn't put too much pressure on the lad. Would love to see him involved a bit with the first team this season, has looked excellent in pre-season. :)

What are the chances of Kane, Moura and Son not missing a chunk of the season through a combination of injury and suspension? I believe we already have Son missing the first two matches, and do not get me started on Kane's glass ankles.

We talk about signing a young player who is happy to wait his chance and be on the bench.

For me, we have that with parrot. I'd like to see him involved with the first team all season. I can see him getting some goals. And her looks like he can have an impact off the bench.

He needs minutes under his belt at his age. He's better off in the U23's with the odd first team cameo.

That will happen. Likelyhood is he won't get off the bench top much. Allowing him to stay U-23 games to keep his minutes up.
