Tottenham Hotspur Women

Will I be labelled as a cretin if I said I can’t stand women’s football and think that it’s a very poor level of football. I get that they are catching up etc … I just don’t see the appeal. I just can’t get behind it unfortunately. By the way I have a daughter who also doesn’t bother with it preferring the men’s game.

Just a thought

…and? Why do you feel the need to tell everyone? Just don’t watch it. Literally no one will give a brick. Do you randomly people tell how much you don’t like curling?

The sport is in its infancy. They’re working from 100 odd years of no investment, no interest and in many cases women and girls being outright banned from playing football. If you’re expecting it to be the same product as the men’s game…then I’d say the problem is you.

No you are not a cretin for not liking women's football. I would argue with anyone that you are entitled to your opinion as am i

What I would say is if you don't like it don't watch it. You realise women's football isn't trying to be men's football. It's just football played by women

As for your daughter not liking it that's her choice & maybe if you liked it she would to but I could be wrong. there are plenty of young girls playing & watching it all over the world. I hope you are not suggesting they shouldn't be allowed to enjoy the sport they love because some people don't like it

Not in the slightest. People should enjoy sport as they wish.

I don't dislike the women's game, I just think the idea of it being packaged and presented as a professional level sport is ridiculous. Women's basketbell, yes, women's netball yes, woman's athletics yes, women's tennis yes, football no! The level of performance is not up to the spin.

We just had the world cup in Australia it was fantastic spectacle with some really good games of football not mens standard but getting there.

All the sports you listed are any of them as good as the mens versions when they started except netball. my guess is no but were built into what they are today can't women's football do the same
