Tottenham Hotspur Women

You sound like the cave you live in is a delightful place
Honestly, I’m stumped how someone could object to over half the world wanting to enjoy 22 people kick a bag of leather (or whatever material a ball is made of now)
I’m no evangelist when it’s come to human rights or anything but I do believe we should all do better and certainly be more respectful and tolerant of others.
I hope the women’s game grows and creates a safe place for those who feel that the men’s audience isn’t for them
That can only be a good thing
Slightly less than half the world. Women make up 49.7% ;)

*I agree though

Your choice, but wouldn't you prefer the Rangers or Galatesary atmosphere to ours?

Yep
I’ve been to rangers too and it’s not always like that
I’ve also been to the lane old and new when it’s been immense
It has very little to do with the sex of the audience IMO and everything to do with the attitude of the people
The lady behind em in the stand sings.. swears… makes tactical comments… at no time do I think “nah love, go home and do the dishes”

We are al in entitled to our opinions, but the atmosphere in general is far better at Rangers. I started going in the 70s, and whilst I can't condone the violence, the overall atmosphere and experience far out ways anything we experience now. This can only be down to the fan demographic. Partly because of the cost of tickets, and partly because everyone has to behave like an angel, most football grounds in the prem are more like theatres. Of course, some people such as yourself may prefer this, and that's your choice, however I think it ruins the game for many people. I don't mind women going to football matches, but I prefer it if they work behind the bars

I think it has changed the game for some
But I’ll say that most of them maybe have brain damage from heading the old leather ball too much

“His insistence on playing out from the back and trying to play a possession-based style like Barcelona instead of a mid-table WSL side regardless of their opposition or game situation has seen his leaky defence put under mountains of pressure.

Watching a Spurs game this season is almost like a continual repeat of play out from the back, be pressed, lose the ball in the midfield, panic and rely on Lize Kop pulling out a big save.”

Sounds familiar

Reminds me of Ange in the way he manages.

Trying to implement a style that the players, staff and him himself don't have the ability to pull off.

Does the WSL also have FFP or whatever its called now? I often wonder how much backing it would take to get a side up into the CL places? I know the transfer fees are relatively low (although creeping up) but what sort of wages are most of the squad on? Is it a big jump in total wage bill to bridge the gap from us to Chelsea and Arsenal etc?

FFP rules apply to women's football but from what I can tell it only applies to clubs participating in European competitions. UEFA regulations are enforced by the FA if you fail to comply with ffp the punishment seems to be fines & possible exclusion from competitions

the WSL (Women's Super League), average player salaries range from approximately 47,000 to 93,000 Pounds per year while the median wage is around £47,000, some players earn as little as £20,000.So what a man earns a week they earn a year
The top teams scum, city, United & Chelsea pay alot more based on success so the more they win bigger the bonus

For us to compete we would have to spend more on transfers & wages that's not going to happen. It's not financially viable for most clubs to throw money at a women's team. Not that we shouldn't we waste plenty of money in men's football
