Sarr always takes up the right hand side. There's this misconception that he plays in a pivot next to Bissouma but he doesn't. We play a triangle with Bissouma at the base with Maddison to left and Sarr to the right. Check his heat maps, he's always stationed to the right and ahead of Bissouma.

Now I think Bentancur could also play that role, we've basically seen him perform every role in midfield to a pretty decent standard. I can't see why he couldn't play the Sarr role equally well.

I think he would play well in that role. He can still come deep and pick up the ball, and hopefully see a bit of swap with Porro at times (like Maddison and Udogie on the left).

Royal is a good defender and always has been and honestly Ayew is fudging dogbrick. How that guy is still a PL player I have no idea.

Sadly Davies couldn't cope with him. I'll say it again. Davies is finished at LB. He's our backup LCB and let's leave it at that.

Yup, his workrate and rubbing is very important. Most games he has come off we've lost a good degree of control.

Bentancur might be a nice conundrum because as you know I love Bentancur, he's exactly the type of CM I like, but Sarr has been great so far this season in a very understated manner.

I do think Bentancur is versatile enough to play in a 3 with Bissouma and Maddison but just in a different way to Sarr.
