TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs ASTON VILLA - OMT

Im now confident after looking at that Villa side. Unless Ireland and N'Zogbia wake up, we'll be fine. Even if they do cause us troubles, they only have Heskey to pass the ball to.

Stop being c*cky!!! This is far from won. They may well play the game of their lives, we need to match their effort, and then some all over the park.

Because Villa have no pace upfront we'll be able to push right up the pitch for once. No more defence sitting deep. This is huge tactically for us.

Not sure if a good thing..

If we push up like that we get far less opportunities for modric to play those beautiful defence splitting passes..

I think this is a good point. We should have the courage to hold a fairly high lien today. Only N'Zogbia perhaps is a potential threat in behind our defense.

Sooo looks like Mcleish has gone for usual cowardly defensive crap. They probably only need a point, but a win would make them 100% safe... but he's trying to choke the football out of this match and aim for a 0-0. Away from home this may work... but don't know how this will work at home. The Villa fans hate him, and I don't blame them. Hopefully if we start well and get an early goal, they'll have to come out at us and we can destroy them on the counter.

Either way, if we turn up, we should surely win this. Villa are genuinely brick and have been in probably worse form than Bolton over the last few weeks. It's key that Bale focuses on ripping Hutton, Azza brings the same fire he did last week, and VDV sticks close to Ade and stays between the lines. All these three things are IMO key to us playing at our best.

Such a massive game. I agree with those saying that so many times we have choked at this stage in the past Yet SURELY the result at the Death Star MUST have inspired the lads today - given them even more of a lift. 2 games, 180 minutes, if we get 6 points we get 3rd. Let's turn up Tottenham Hotspur.

2-0 Spurs, VDV & Bale.
