Beautiful British summer day and the is no where I would be then Sussex.
A cycle ride this morning then into Brighton with my lad who at 15 now and nearly is tall. We went to the seafront and got a seafood platter and as we were eating I allowed him a beer.
After lunch he gave me a hug and told me he loved me and now matter how disabled I end up he will always look after me, which brought a tear to my eyes. He introduced me to two new friends of his before they left to go and practise (they are in a band together)
Then I walked along the seafront with my wife towards Hove we queued for about 40 minutes for an ice cream then had it on the seafront before she left to go help set up a craft fair.
I walked back into Brighton might my mate at wheel of fortune and drank 5 pints in 3 hours. Chatted rubbish and laughed loudly. He had to go back home because his new girlfriend is raising chickens and has live ones all over their house (true story) it is odd.
I walked up through the lanes taking in all the people what they were wearing, all the smiles. Thrlen I stopped at the North laines brewery and met some of the youngsters from work had a few drinks with them.
Walked through town and picked up dinner from Indian summer and I am in the back sit of the car as the wife drives me and our lad home. I am in the back sit they say because I'm passed but I get the last laugh because after I post this I am going to nibble on the takeaway. But I also like looking at them and realise how much I love them.
Loved seeing the crowds and everyone out enjoying themselves after the brutal winter.
Today I realise how lucky I am. It was a simple day, but it has been the best day of my life.
