Don't be silly, by then we'll have injuries to every single player in the squad except Dante Cassanova.I hope we go to the Deathstar to play, and I hope we look to continue playing with Pahlinha and two 8s.

A bit nit picky on my part perhaps. But didn't look much like Palhinha and two 8s against United to me. Sarr playing very much a deep role, few of his trademark attacking runs, particularly in the first half. To me looked like more of the same to what we've seen recently, only with Sarr as one of the deep two.Back to Thomas Frank for a min...I think his reaction to the CFC debacle has been very encouraging. He has shown he will adjust, and he has shown he will break free of 'safety first' football in the selection. Kudos to him (albeit I wish he'd started with Udogie and Spence today BUT he knows more about where Destiny is at than I do)...I hope we go to the Deathstar to play, and I hope we look to continue playing with Pahlinha and two 8s. I think Frank will want strength and physicality that day, so I can see Richy on the left again. But again, if we go with intent (smart intent) to play as opposed to take a safety first horseshoe of fear approach, that would be development in my view...

Also a rather cautious first half imo. But, as it has been recently, some positive signs of trying to play through the middle - sometimes even rather promisingly so. But rather dependent on Romero.
I hope we see a return of the Palhinha Bentancur midfield duo against Arsenal. Overall I think Bentancur has been better than Sarr in that role, particularly recently when the handbrake has come off a bit. Think it was more a rotation thing than a tactical move to bring Sarr in against United.
Very much soI think the difference in our last three performances has been more about how good the opposition has been.
You mean Chelsea are better than Manchester United who are again quite a bit better than Copenhagen? Sure.I think the difference in our last three performances has been more about how good the opposition has been.
Personally I'd say Jan was a better footballer than any of them.I'd say Toby and Jan were ultimately better defenders and a better CB partnership. Romero and VDV are better footballers...
Romero imo is up there. And some similarities in their style on the ball.Personally I'd say Jan was a better footballer than any of them.
I don't think Romero would be able to play well as a full back. Jan was a superb full back (often played there for Belgium).Romero imo is up there. And some similarities in their style on the ball.
What we had with Toby and Jan were two quality ball playing centre backs, different qualities on the ball, but both really good. We haven't had many of those partnerships over the years. Part of what made that team work so well despite some shortcomings on the ball and creatively deep in midfield.
