Thomas Frank - Head Coach

I really liked how we mixed up the very aggressive pressing and the deeper defending. It was always one or the other - no half way house.
Yes. Absolutely.

Difficult to say how good we were at both in the opening 70, but very promising signs.

Some fans in the stadium looked unhappy that Tel didn't chase lost causes towards the end. I really liked that. Think it may have been part of what you point out.

A bugbear of mine is when players (usually forwards) leave the structure to press on their own only to get easily bypassed because they're on their own and then when they get bypassed they're not in the structure where they're supposed to be.

For sure there's a time to chase lost causes, but you have to be selective of that, not just a headless chicken.

For me you could see the coaching at work, the set plays both ends have gone up a level, thats clear, the defending triggers you can see a mile off, its so good and the last ditch stuff although nervy, looks organised and not just chaos. The press for long periods looked world class, probably the most impressive part for me.

The issue will come, like it did, in fairness to Ange and those before him, when the depth runs out, we need depth, its clear as day, you won't survive in a Frank side unless you work hard, I said that a while back on here and its becoming clear he is taking no prisoners, but we don't have that depth as yet.

I hope he is backed
