It's just as signing players. It really is a lottery. Some should work but don't, others shold be a misfit, but isn't. But if the club has a vision and strategy, one should appoint a manager that aligns with that, and hopefully can enhance and develop it.

Yep, I'm very pleased with how quickly it's all seeming to be done, even if I still have mixed feelings about what's transpired.
It has been exciting and reassuring to listen to a bit more of Frank expounding upon his thinking in various interviews.
And it seems his staff are coming along too, which seems important

Also the short transfer window closes tonight so hopefully Danny has greased up the old fax machine, got a Burger King on Deliveroo, it’s all going on

Just need rumours of the new version of Diego, Morientes, Moutinho, or Leandro Damiao and I'll get that happy nostalgia feeling all over again.

His assistant Justin Cochrane used to work with some of our age groups during the John McDermott/Alex Inglethorpe era. It sounds like he worked with Matt Wells during that spell too.
